Your taxes at work
More from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office activism files. This is a comment from Hannah Wood, the FCO climate officer last seen showing "green" movies to the natives in her posting in Tanzania. In this episode, she reports on a visit by Met Office staff:
Here in Tanzania we have also been happy to welcome the UK Met Office, working alongside the Tanzanian Meteorological Agency to provide advice and guidance on future plans. We were delighted to welcome two UKMO staff emembers – David Robinson and Tim Donovan.
David was here to install some essential digital recording equipment, provided by the Foreign Office, which will allow the TMA to record and digitally distribute their weather forecasts, thus keeping the forecasting up to date and helping with distaster risk reduction. David also provided guidance on filming and editing of material to produce a climate change awareness film for broadcast on national television and distribution among Tanzanian secondary schools.
Just remember when you hear people complaining about cuts to government spending, that we can still afford to help Tanzanians make "climate change awareness" films.

I really wonder if Tanzanian teenagers are ready for the self-regarding, morbid, masturbatory outpourings of Guardianista meejah trustafarians like Franny & friends - who produce this kind of garbage.
I would have thought they had enough problems of their own without us trying to rot their brains.
If you haven't seen it there's a rather good article on the the FCO malarkey over at The Register

Maori friends of mine here in New Zealand joke about their German blood, which they insist became a part of their genetic inheritance when one of their forebears cooked and ate a Lutheran Missionary.
So, Hannah shows Franny's foul film in Tanzania (thanks Shub, 7:51 PM), . Meanwhile Bryony was a board member of Franny's demonstrably evil 10:10 group (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/blog/2010/nov/19/labour-peer-bryony-worthington). My speculation that these gals are all chums enjoying their climate crisis together gains more credibility. Did they all go to the same school? Are they all in the Labour Party? Do they all think Ed Miliband is/was the bee's knees?
For some reason the phrase Jolly Hockey Sticks springs to mind at the mention of these "gals".

stand firm.
DFID - Tanzania - the page has numbers on how much the UK has spent on Tanzania over the years.
I remember seeing that ~30% of Tanzania's annual income is foreign aid.
HaHaHa - BH does attract the crazies from the far side of the CAGW spectrum but they aren’t trolls more like snot goblins (apologies to snot goblins).
And my comment on the absurd waste of money, the only way to stop Government waste is to make them responsible for there actions ie. You spent how much money on what? your fired.
