The Pause changes everything - Josh 296

One of the phrases alarmists like to use is to "just look out of the window" to see Global Warming aka 'Climate Change' happening right now. Presumably when they have looked out of the window these past 18 years they have seen the pause in temperatures - which should 'change everything' but I am guessing this might just be a pipe dream. Oh well, here's hoping.

I am not disputing the careful work of the people at the HMS challenger, but you are not seriously contending that their few measurements are a reliable indication of the ocean's heat exchanges of the past 150y ??
Have you ever heard an anecdote does not make comprehensive reliable data

the argos buoys temperatures can not be compared with the HMS challenger temperatures btw as they are done with different instruments. Only extensively recorded trends could be "compared". Same story as "measuring" and "comparing" temperatures between satellites observations and surface thermometer observations. We both call it temperature but it is different observables really.
