Changed times

By almost any measure, the UK - and England in particular - is seriously overpopulated. According to the Optimum Population Trust, our numbers are growing by more than 320,000 a year. Addressing this doesn't mean forced sterilisations or a Chinese-style, one-child policy, but it does mean giving incentives for people to have smaller families and addressing rising levels of immigration.

My Daddy told me 60 years ago that when the Middle East oilfields were exhausted, the sheiks would own the London Stock Exchange. Well, it hasn't quite turned out just like that. Then again, the oilfields aren't exhausted yet, either.

If it said "Refugees welcome in my street" or "Refugees welcome in my house" I'd be a bit more impressed.

This mass movement of refugees is the end result of the liberal hand-wringers who objected to us doing anything to stop Assad's slaughter.
Now these same hand-wringers, step forward, Mark Lynas, are clamouring for us to "do something".

How about this?- enact precisely the same policy as Australia and we would start saving the lives of many refugees who are being ruthlessly exploited by people smugglers.

For Mark Lynas (if he has the courage):

So:

'wrong' ≡ 'settled'
