New Era - Josh 360
Jan 30, 2016 Josh Temperatures
Thanks to Robert B over at WUWT who thought up a great name for the era of climate science we are currently enduring – The Adjustocene, where no one will ever know what the temperature is.

Douglas Field is one of the few artistic combattants who can make Josh look a winner by comparison
Josh sums up the fraudocracy quite brilliantly. This reminds me of the old proverb that says a man with two clocks does not know what time it is. Phil and his humorous attempts to defend the adjustocene is as always welcome comedy relief.
The Board Game 'Monopoly' had that card, 'Bank makes error in your favour. Collect £100.'
How come climate scientists always make errors/adjustments in their favour, and collect 10s of thousands of pounds as a result? We need an end to temperature inflation in climate science.
"We all go to the climare [sic] wars with the troops we have."
more of the 'My dad's bigger than your dad' profundity we've come to expect from Russell and his like, but better than his trashing the dead I suppose.
However, it comes to something when the most proficient troll we attract is ATTP< and he's never heard of the tropical troposphere hot spot.
"We all go to the climare [sic] wars with the troops we have."
Josh's thrust against the 97th Brigade Temperature Adjusters has landed a blow , I think.

Thanks for the update.
I happily stand corrected.
To all those who have just crawled out of the woodwork:
In the Adjustocene no one can hear you whinge.
Brandon Shollenberger
Thanks also for the link to your site, which I've just visited, and shall do so again. Nicely balanced and thoughtful comments to be found there, in my opinion.
Brilliant again Josh!

Well done Josh, much funnier than mine --
'Climatesciencene where children of the consensus can't understand observed fact.'
Has the Administrative cartoonist been adjusting the comments again ?

It may distress the Misses Glyn to hear he's got wind of our tiger skin.
Phil Clarke at 3.04pm.
Thanks once more, this time for the extra links. I read the contents at length, I continue to learn (we are never too old for that), and am better informed.

Plasticene surely - you can make it any shape you want
1st Law of Therbal dynamics, the more you smoke, the higher you get.
Douglas, 8:43pm;
Russell is a zealot, he don't wear pants, only sackcloth and ashes.
A note of apology is owed the Misses Glyn, who are disraught at Douglas' discovery of our tiger skin.
Salopian will debut as Josh's second banana as soon as Wigan Pier acquires a new comedy club.
@Russell, 10;12pm: I think we will all give you the honour the first immersion into to Leeds and Liverpool.
I watched the sea level rise in Chichester Harbour this afternoon. Then it dropped again. Lunar power beats the lunatic fringe, twice every day.

Seem? Was there any doubt?

Sorry Leo- heroic climate scientist Rush Limbaugh popularized the Plasticine Era ages ago.

@ Brandon Shollenberger at 9:25 AM,
It must be assumed that the scientists and technicians collecting temperature data eighty, ninety years ago all suffered from a form of astigmatism in common that caused known inaccuracies in their readings.
Seriously, as Professor Humlum notes at climate4you “… for the older part of the temperature record numerical stability over time would be expected, provided that the mathematical procedure used for estimating the global temperature is considered mature by the research team preparing the data series considered …”.
Judith Curry refers to the “grand hiatus” 1940 - 1970, the missing link, the exact relationship between the global surface temperature in 1940 and say 1979 when satellite measurement began I guess will never be known for sure.
Adjustocene is good, but how about the Bolloxocene?

The text in quotes is actually a link to another article that "they" (actually just Victor Venema) wrote on homogenization. You could also read VV's published work.Russell

The only administrative cartoonist I know is at SkS, where it's practically a full-time job.
