Money to burn - Josh 368
Apr 15, 2016 Energy Josh Renewables
Lots of news about renewables, especially wind and solar, feeling the sharp stab of economic reality and the burn of bankrupcy - see SunEdison, German renewables, more SunEdison, Dutch wind and British green blundering - all via The GWPF.
This would be cheery news if governments hadn't wasted so much taxpayers cash on such pointless policies in the first place.

Storage the porridge,
Chemically dense, power less;
Tesla's a messla.
==============
Steal has as many anagrams as Tesla,
And more rhyming options,
But this is neither.
To rhyme with Tesla is tough
And poetry lies in a trough
But one has to wonder why, though,
If you do try think it through,
No matter how you are thorough,
There most definitely is a drought
Of any good poetic thought.
Tesla cars are very funny,
Fa la la la la, la la la,
Go down hill, they're very runny,
Fa la la la la, la la la,
But come a few miles,
There's no drivers' smiles,
Fa la la la la, la la la,
Where's that charge point,
There is no point,
We'll have to get out and bloody push.
Again the problem goes much deeper then the token electrical cars produced.
All working cars produced today are simply too complex to maintain without looming bankruptcy.
The citroen C15 panel van production stopped in 2005.
No replacement for its combination of hill climbing ability, cheapness and simplicity now exists.
It was and remains the primary vehicle of French hill farmers.

Would a heavy battery powered panel van have the range to climb with a load to this cabane at 2,000 meters , if so would it have the range to return.
Would the shepard also have to nvest in a solar powered charger?.
So he would end up with both a capital intensive tank and charger.....no money remains for consumption in the village below.
how long would it's suspension last?
A Donkey would be better.
If the green agenda is taken to the nth degree and natch - trust them, greens are rustically funda-mental-ly Neaderthal at heart, using donk's will be out of the question, a broad back will be needed ploughing and hand tilling only, scythes to the fore, the sunlit uplands and Utopia is nigh, Tovarich.
Athelstan
Again it's not a green agenda.
Get your facts correct
True greens do not overbuild or strive for efficiency at the cost of redundancy.
It's a simple corporate agenda of adding useless value or costs to products.
Green memes serve a useful propaganda purpose is all.
The state brings in new tax laws that favour overbuild, the corporate sector then builds it
Also in Ireland the insurance industry works hand in glove with the car Industry by dramatically.increasing insurance costs on more simple early 1990s era cars.
It's important to understand that most of European industry is not designed to service real organic demand.
The banks create the demand synethically via the use of consumer credit.
Now even at 0% interest people are going bankrupt en masse given the absurd running costs and centralization of maintenance.
We need to get back to the Honda 50 path of simplicity.
However corporate concentration of wealth trumps all.
It looks like we're about to witness a even greater collapse of European civilization.
Interesting fact
If all the cars in New York were all converted to electric the city would need two extra Nuclear power stations
Just saying
Jamspid, is there a figure for London aswell?
If London had to rely on electricity for cars, buses, taxis, as well as the Underground, nothing would move in the event of electricity shortages, or a complete power cut. Apart from Green Blob experts flying off to conferences in exotic locations to discuss hors d'oeuvres.
Jamspid/golf charlie - walked past a parked electric car in Marylebone High Street yesterday - on the passenger's door proudly bearing the logo: 'Zero Emissions'....
Yeah, here, maybe, but the electricity has to be generated SOMEWHERE....
(Also nearly got mown down by an electric UPS van - because I didn't hear it coming..!)
SherlockI. That's the way the Greenies aim to eliminate us holdouts - mow us down silently (except our screams). Notice the deliberate use of the word AIM.
