BBD - 'Meline' was new to me as well, although Wiktionary at least acknowledges it, for whatever that's worth. The Eurasian badger, a member of the Mustelidae family, is Meles meles.
I don’t mean the weasel family, but the badger particularly. “meline” is derived, not just by me, from the Latin word maelês, you see, and it’s cited in the OED.
