Discussion > Aussie Census
Deeply.
Well, ZDB, I never took you for a conscientious follower of Bishop Hill's discussion forum.
Why didn't the Census form include a question on the carbon tax ?
I think I'll write "Climate Change Consensus" or perhaps "Climate Change - 'The Science' "
I agree with Zed. (Did I really say that?). It would be deeply wrong to say that your religion is Climate Change. You should put 'CAGW' and let them figure it out.

Dearie Me,
How could I forget to follow up on this most important of all discussion threads: The Aussie Census
For the record, I put my religion in the 2011 Census form as "Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming Religion - CAGW".
I also ticked the box that allowed the full release of my personal information in the Census form in 99 years.
So to all those 22nd Century historians who are reading this ancient internet relic that's called Bishop Hill blog, yes, that was me.
Ethnic origin : Nordic
Religion : Jedi ( fight against the dark side)
Sexual preference : Necrophilliac
The real answer to the above should be " Go away you nosey bugger and stop wasting my time with your tomfool questions"
I received my census form today.
As per usual, the most controversial question is Question 19: "What is the person's religion?"
Now, as a general rule, I answer all the questions honestly. IMHO, honesty in census form is a serious civic responsibility for all citizens... as important as religious obligation is for the believers.
In the last two or three census form I've ticked that controversial question either as 'No religion' or 'Atheist'. This time however I'm seriously considering writing down "Climate Change" as my religion.
Is that wrong?
