Discussion > Cold Fusion, LENR, LANR - A Short History

This is a 9.5 minute clip about the multiply named:
Cold Fusion - the original name
LENR - Low Energy Nuclear Reactions or Lattice Enabled Nanoscale Reactions
LANR - Lattice-Assisted Nuclear Reactions

Multiply named mainly because the Physics, the mechanisms, haven't been sorted out and agreed!
MIT Cold Fusion - The Revolution has Begun!

The video gives a brief description of the physical processes involved, describes the downfall of Cold Fusion even before it started, the Establishment's attempts to verify/dismiss it and their varying results and mentions the difficulties of being associated with it. There is also an attempt to describe how it could be exploited, given good progress, and how that might impact the world's economy.

I found it a good starter, whizzing through the History by leaving out a lot of detail, but keeping the story line clear.

There are also many hours of lectures (MIT Cold Fusion IAP) available, which I haven't watched, yet!
