SandyS, Slapheadedness cannot just be brushed under the carpet, or combed over the top. As I get older, the problem of dealing with unwanted hair, has become more focused on removing it from the bath plug hole.

I have fortunately got past that stage for hair falling out, there is not enough left to notice. Until I got the hairdresser to remove the odd survivor from the large bare area they used to tickle the top of my head, very annoying and disconcerting as it felt like a spider dancing on your head.

It is a good tactic. Avoiding the subject of dishonesty is sensible for "skeptics" as they appear to have a strange relationship with truth. I've often found it difficult to believe that some apparently clever people don't seem able to distinguish true from false. It is my theory that to become a supporter of "skeptical" blogs one has to be dishonest. How else could people seriously question the standards of blogs like ATTP while ignoring the open sore of WUWT and dozens of 'lesser' blogs.

Raff confuses his inability to recognize problems with the consensus he echoes so faithfully with the idea that skeptics are not accurately pointing out problems with the consensus.
And his laughable red herring of falsely claiming that skeptics say all climate scientists are pathological liars is, well, sort of pathological.

Obviously global warmongers do sit around at their regular parties in exotic locations to plot conspiracies against those who disagree with them. How else can the RICO 20 circular firing squad be explained? Clearly they had learned some lessons about how not to get caught connspiring to subvert science from the Climategate e-mail revelations. Poor communication skills were blamed, when it should have been poor abilities to conceal communications.

Obviously Raff as part of his climate skeptical science skool homework assignment could read 'The Hockey Stick Illusion' by Andrew Montford. This would put his knowledge far above those climate science experts who wrote reviews, without having read it. Who would have thought climate science experts could be so dishonest? Especially when writing for the Guardian aswell.

I do not know if others had noticed, but I had noticed that you were the commenter with the greatest difference between the high opinion of their own intellect and reasoning, against the words they actually wrote. A continual contradiction even displayed in this discussion. I ignored you.

But you have become an absolutist. The absolutes I am talking about have nothing to do with science. Your whole language is scattered with them. So I take the option afforded by the rules on this blog (founded on the freedom of speech of the UK) to take the piss out of you. This is a fair tactic.

A large part of the reason of my involvement in CAGW is to stop people like you getting power. Give absolutists power throughout history and the body count goes up in millions, and society regresses for generations.

Even for arguments sake excepting some negative effects of CAGW, I honestly believe the attempt to combat and to a lesser extent mitigate CAGW would be worse for my children. Because "you" would be in control.

CAGW has very little to do with science. What I am being sold or why am I being told it? Science is just one of a number of tools used by people like yourself. And I will play my small part in stopping you have the power and say in how I run my life, and my following generations.
