Discussion > BBC: What climate change deniers, like Donald Trump, believe

Just seen this article on the BBC site, ridiculing the crazy beliefs of those daft old Deniers.

However, tucked away in this fluffy Newsbeat piece, aimed at Da Yoof, is a startling new theory on what causes Global Warming:

When humans burn fossil fuels such as coal and oil for transport, heating and industry it produces greenhouse gases which destroy the ozone layer, allowing more rays from the sun into our atmosphere and raising temperatures across the world.

Cheers Smiling Politely you did the right thing to help unhold the truth
They've quickly done the old STEALTH EDIT since the page was made more than 7 hours ago
So when i put it on Wayback Machine
"As it appeared on November 11, 2016 12:09:42 PM UTC" It does not have the offending phrase
So I rescued it from google's cache
I have a number of screen shots, close screen shot , Full page, google cache etc

...And cos of the way BBC propaganda is quickly circulated across the web before stealth corrections I have put this original page on Wayback Archive and a second which do have the offending phrase

Screenshots of the BBC "New Ozone Science" piece from Radio-1 News-Botch
#1 I did this useful
side by side showing the stealth edit versus the original (with brand newsbeat ozone science) just that phrase
#2 This Google search page proves that is what the original page had the new Ozone Science
#3 This Whole screen shot shows the original pre-stealth-edited page
#4 Top of the page proves BBC Radio-1 News-Botch is doing a BbcProjectSmear operation against Trump

BTW Here is a screenshot of polling expert Nate Silver's final prediction before the result

* does anyone spot an ECIU watermark on the page ? ..I expect it came from them or the like

Do you still rely on Mainstream media ?

I can accept that anyone get get things wrong, but trying to conceal the error by an organisation like the BBC is not acceptable.

People who do not believe in the threat of global warming, climate change deniers […]

Donald Trump isn’t the only world leader who doesn’t believe in climate change.

Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy says that humans are not responsible for an increase in global temperatures.

Interesting to note the new definition of “climate change denier”. It would appear that you can accept that climate can change and has changed, but if you doubt that it is now caused by humans, you are a “climate change denier”, because, it would appear, while it has been happening for over 4 billion years, this time humans are its cause, and all because “experts say” it is so.

Out and out propaganda, from the BBC:

This week, National Geographic reported huge numbers of dead puffins being washed ashore in the Pacific Ocean’s Bering Sea due to rising sea temperatures. [my bolding]
Extraordinary claims do need extraordinary evidence, yet none is provided. How odd.

"About corporate manslaughter

The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 is a landmark in law. For the first time, companies and organisations can be found guilty of corporate manslaughter as a result of serious management failures resulting in a gross breach of a duty of care."

The British Broadcasting CORPORATION needs to think carefully before Broadcasting faked-up propaganda at taxpayers expense.

So BBC admit making basic Climate Science error, in a news post which is intended to show that the BBC know more about Climate Science that Dumb Donald Trump

I say “admit”, cos they admitted it by making a stealth correction 7 hours after publication

Link to that modified BBC Donald Denier post

There is also lying by omission:

In 2004, German scientist Dr Sami Solanki conducted a similar study and said it was "impossible" to determine whether the sun or human activity had more influence on climate change.
What is omitted is that, to date, no-one has yet determined everything that could influence climate change, let alone finding anything to actually blame for it. While it has to be admitted that the trivial activities of humans might be sufficient to influence the delicate balance of climate, that is a hypothesis that depends upon climate really having such a delicate balance; thus, it makes more sense that even the smallest fluctuations in the principle source of all energy on the planet will have some influence (especially if the system is as delicately balanced as the first proposed hypothesis requires).

Anyway, the long and the short of it is that the BBC is quite blatantly lying in this article – and it is even admitting that in the article, by its not-so-subtle shift of definition of “climate change denier”!
