I loved this comment at the end of the linked article

Doesn't this have echoes of the other discussion stewgreen created today? Incompetence by professional politicians listening to so called "experts" costing the taxpayer billions of pounds and getting away with it, as they will.

TinyCO2, at the moment it is still not Politically Correct to blame it on Green Corruption and Stupidity.

The next President of the USA has already demonstrated he does not care for "Political Correctness", when honesty is simpler and quicker, and 50% of the UK electorate has already voted for more honesty in politics, rejecting the fraud and corruption that is masked by Political Correctness.

Hopefully some UK Politicians will voice an honest opinion about the originators of this latest scandal, and expose some more. A cross-party group from within the Westminster bubble could limit the political damage to all Parties (apart from the Greens) but individuals could inflict serious damage to any Party if provoked or ignored.

According to Grant Shapps:

“While nobody questions the noble intentions behind these interventions, it is clear that a perfect coincidence of numerous policies designed to reduce Britain’s carbon dioxide emissions has had the unintended effect of hollowing out the reliability of the electricity generating sector,”

Sounds like a perfect demonstration of the collective stupidity of MPs.

DaveS, time someone pointed out that these "noble intentions" are a con trick, that have ruined lives and industry in the Northern Hemisphere and the Antipodes.

Obviously the main beneficiaries jet off to warmer climates whenever they want, at taxpayers expense, as they find warmer climates so beneficial, and not scary at all.

The road to Hell being paved with good intentions has been known about for quite a while. There are several explanations, firstly what sounds good in theory works out as a disaster. Good intentions not leading to action and something then goes horribly wrong due to inaction. Then there's belief that what you're doing is right and for the benefit of mankind when it fact it causes great harm. Not forgetting outright scoundrels fooling people and conning them into a bad place.

In the renewable disaster it's my view all four are involved.
