Discussion > The Euros going straight to penalties!
Robert Christopher: how else is Frau Merkel going to dispose of the undesirables she gave such open welcome to?
So is Merkel doing a bit of negotiating on her own behalf, in addition to the official EU process? I thought they said they wouldn't do that. OK, it's neither new nor a surprise, but this is why some think the UK should be escaping such a system in the first place.
Express: 'Ridiculous hubris' Brussels wants to retain INDEFINITE right to fine Britain AFTER Brexit
"Under the EU’s demands the bloc would effectively be given indefinite leave to raise cash from both the UK Government and British companies by trawling back through the history books.
They want all the bloc’s institutions, including Jean-Claude Juncker’s Commission, to be able to start new infringement proceedings relating to any supposed misdemeanour perpetrated in Britain before our leaving date.
The wide-ranging demands would give the bloc a legal stranglehold over Britain for decades to come and there will be fears they could end up being abused as a simple way of topping up its budget."
Are we really going to have two years of this?
Does the Scottish woman really want to stay with this lot?
Does anybody?

It is easier to make a functional organisation worse than a dysfunctional organisation better.
How do the people at the top change the behaviour at the bottom?
Why do we pay our taxes??????
Is nationhood an example of a safe spaces?
Will the nation subordinate the individual?
Maybe what is happening is not good, or maybe it's really good.
It's been shaky before, but now there's an internal shakiness.
How do the people at the top change the behaviour at the bottom?

Administer laxatives, then worry about freedom of movement, as others try to deal with the foreseen consequences.
It looks like we are going straight to penalties, without playing the normal ninety minutes, let alone the extra time:
"Mrs Merkel told Mrs May that her offer to EU citizens was “not a breakthrough” and she must accept the four EU freedoms or there will be issues between the UK and the 27 member states. "
Express: 'This is NOT a breakthrough' Angela Merkel slams May and demands free movement or NOTHING
It looks like there will be issues! :)
