Jordan B Peterson is a well known Canadian clinical psychologist who is critical of political correctness, from the term 'white privilege' to postmodern feminism and cultural appropriation. There are many youtube video clips of fragments of his lectures that constructively criticises the current culture within Western academia.

Camille Paglia is a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and considers herself as a libertarian but has many different views to that expected: she is an Atheist yet thinks the world religions are full of wisdom, she is somewhat gender fluid but thinks men should be men and not feminised, childhood is an important development in our civilisation and shouldn't be thrown away and that ‘Transgender Propagandists’ are committing ‘Child Abuse’.

She dislikes the fragmented approach to teaching Art that has occurred over the last forty years and has the view that many in the Humanities and Social Sciences have no knowledge of History, just an Attitude, which means they impart little wisdom to their students.

Here is a conversation, with Jordan B Peterson asking Camille Paglia to fill him in on how Post Modernism Art and Marxism have managed to work together (to the detriment of the rest of us!)

So it starts of being a bit above my head, but then becomes more interesting as they piece together what has happened in academia, though hearing what happened in the universities in the Sixties and Seventies was enlightening, I am pleased I wasn't there because of the futility of what was learnt (somewhat like the problem of being caught up in the Climate Change Agenda).

It covers many areas of life, like what does a man do in the work place when confronted with an agressive, arrogant woman (not that there are any, of course! :) )

Jordan Peterson is giving a presentation to a bunch of Canadian Conservatives, helping them to understand where they and their opponents are in their political space, as they appear a little confused - because the labels of their political parties do not reflect their political ideals. :)

He is finally introduced @17:55 and it worth watching if you are interested in the subject, or wanting to see how the Humanities have lost their direction and the Canadian legal system, its common sense.

This clip starts later, @38:21, just before the bit relevant to Climate Change, to get a bit of context.

Jordon is discssing the Canadian Bill C16, which is expected to become law. It is supposed to help those who find sex and gender a non-binary issue, but he points out that those driving this legislation have other goals and that the legislation will only create more problems than it solves for the target group.

What is of interest to us is what I have transcribed here, about the abandonment of the Scientific process and how it came about.

39:12 ... that kind of thinking was defeated in the Scientific realm back in the 1960s in the universities. And what that meant was the radicals who wanted to keep promoting precisely that kind of view just circumvented the entire Scientific process and started to implement their demands for their particular view point from a practical, policy, administrative and legislative perspective, knowing full well that they had lost 100% on the empirical and Scientific front.

And now what they do instead is criticise the Scientific endevour itself because it failed to produce the results that they assumed would be the case.

So, there's plenty that is rotten in the state of Denmark, and I am embarrassed to state that a tremendous amount of that stems from the universities. And they are in bad shape.

Pedagogical knowledge, knowledge of diverse students, and Nepantla are mentioned, and that teachers must be aware of the “politics that mathematics brings” in society, but no mention of anything like simultaneous equations, calculus and partial differential equations, Fourier Analysis, Topology, Fractal geometry, or even Arithmetic!

And we thought it was only the Social Sciences (which isn't Science or social) and the Humanities that are doomed!

I wonder if Jerry Brown could/would buy out the BBC and move it to California:

Jordan Peterson - Is it Game Over?

Lindsay Shepherd is the Laurier University postgrad who showed a clip from a local broadcaster, that would be seen by families at home, containing a discussion about the Canadian C16 legislation that forces people to use the correct pronouns, to an undergraduate workshop. Jordan Peterson was one of participants.. At her university the legislation means that people can be called to account for using the incorrect pronouns, considered an alleged 'hate crime', without knowing what the crime was or who it was against, or even how many reported it.
Because she was told there would be a diversity officer (or something like that) present at the trial, alarm bells rang and she recorded the interrogation (in my view :) )
This clip is a few weeks later, after she had been on several (supporting) webcam sites. What is particularly interesting is that, especially towards the end, she discusses other people's reactions to events and she begins to see through the brainwashing in which she has been immersed:
