Perhaps we should leave predicting the unpredictable to the climate “scientists”.
However… The probabilities of it being boom far outweigh the probabilities of it being doom. That said, there are rather a lot of influential people who have a vested interest in it being doom – all of whom will have their own boom-time from our doom, so there might be a strong chance of any boom being overturned. Of course, the doomers may prove to be as effective in their influence as the AGW alarmists, so the boom might happen, anyway.

Which it is is in our hands. The power to do much better is available to us only out of the EU, but the power to mess it up persists no matter what. Brexit is not going to be a free ride. But nor is staying in because the EU will continue to be run according to the interests of others.

The more you watch BBC national news, the more disinformed you are.
Paradoxically our local news presenter is not bad, he jut sighs when he's forced to do an anti-Brexit item, cos he knows he'll be reading out lots of complaint letters later.

Actually SG the explanation suggested was that the whole building industry was "overheated" in 2016-7 causing the whole completion date to slip.

eg Adidas might get 31% support in one country and come top
..and in the next country come second with 41% and so not even feature on the map.

The question was do you like this city ?
9% chose to tick the box saying they don't like York
11% chose same with Bath
... 43% chose to tick the box saying they don't like Bradford ..so it came bottom
Same survey included Lichfield and St David's, Britain's smallest cities.
But when it comes to visiting places, York is quite small, so it's attractions don't feature in the UK most visited, topped by Tower of London, Stonehenge, Bath etc

That map of"Europe"is weird. With the whole of Russia not considered part of Europe (why?) the eastern Baltic has lost its shape, and the coast of Norway looks strangely moth-eaten.

Assuming Brexit actually happens (I still have my doubts) I don't think it will be boom or bust. I think there will be short/mid-term problems but that over a longer horizon things will balance out, in all probability. I'm not expecting a transition to sunlit uplands any time soon.
However, I don't think most of the Project Fear projections will come to pass either. There will be some problems, undoubtedly, but nothing insurmountable.
For me, though, as I suspect for many Brexit voters, it isn't about money, but about not being beholden to an unelected bureaucracy with an agenda for greater integration and a federal United States of Europe. I'm a democrat. I believe in being able to vote out the powers-that-be if I and a sufficient number of my fellow electors decide we've had enough of the current bunch of clowns and wish to replace them with a different bunch of clowns.
I'm only being half-facetious when I say that. For me, if we do manage to leave, one of the big gains I hope to see is the development of a new generation of UK politicians and civil servants actually able to get on with things instead of just doing what the EU tells them. If we don't achieve that soon, it may be too late.

Mark Hodgson +1 and my early impression of those signing up as The Brexit Party EU candidates is hopeful.
Long way to go though in terms of getting to be a functioning UK party capable of formulating, agreeing and delivering effective policy across multiple policy fronts. I hope that the BP will attract and keep more candidates with real world skills and knowledge who can work together on more than just the Brexit agenda. Perhaps there also will be more Ann Widdecombe style switching of allegiance which could bring political experience and skills too?
And I wonder if Nigel Farage is up for leading on the bigger challenge of actually governing the UK rather than achieving just the first step of severance from the EU? Is he in for the long haul or will he step aside leaving a vacuum once (if) he achieves his primary goal?

I ran a despatch dept for a company that exported 50% of its product for a number of years, the difference between exporting to the EU and the ROW added about 10 mins of a clerk's time on a computer and the odd forest of paper. The EU has common rules so 6 copies of invoice, no VAT and off it went, to the others such as USA it varies, different number of invoice copies and extra certifications like declaration of country of origin and a pack for export and import customs. The rules are all known and easily worked to, do it once and then repeat, just the odd change per year like the requirement for fumigation of wooden pallets sorted by buying from approved sources.
Its not rocket science, its just dealing with Bureaucrats, you just need to follow the current rules that all the other non EU countries follow today.
China uses the import duties it collects to promote exports by grants to various industries it seeks to promote, as a net importer the UK could easily use its new import duties to help all the current exporters plus some.

Conservative MPs will be electing a new Prime Minister after the European Elections. Farage won't be an MP, but could be elevated to the Lords by our new PM and brought into Cabinet with his own choice of Civil Servants to make BREXIT a success

The Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy this month released its proposals for “a UK Emissions Trading System” after Brexit. Currently the EU’s Emissions Trading Scheme covers over 1,000 installations in UK, including steel, cement, and power stations. Greg Clarke has had other ideas. His BEIS department has proposed that a UK Scheme should ‘link’ to the EU system, pegging it to the EU price and therefore giving the EU Commission power to raise household energy and construction prices in the UK even after we’ve left.
