I saw the Pielke thing. He believes this

It seems like an invitation to honest World Leaders to defund Climate Science because it is full of liars.

Political and religious fervent followers always ratchet up and can never step back from denigrating those with whom they disagree or see as enemies of their belief system. It is one of the primary fault lines in the whole climate scare thing - the serial resistance to admissions that they got something wrong and the abject refusal to look at evidence that cannot be used to exalt the congregation.
