On another topic altogether I have had no land line signal in my home for six full weeks and a broadband signal speed on my PC that has reached 0.00 Mbps Upload AND download on a number of occasions. I have now moved the sky mini hub to my office desk to give the Sky home wifi less work to do. I still am getting zero speed at times.

This has been rather trying.

re The Great Business Ideas I have had in my Sleep Discussion entry I wish to emphasise that I love Tiny CO2 in a proper, manly way and bear him (or her or it) no malice at all. I mean to use the word "love" in its general North of England use and not to refer to any physical acts of love. Obviously.

Ian, I can sympathise with BT driving a person to distraction. I used to call in BT numerous times to sort site wide faults only for them to fail to turn up because they had us tagged as a single pay phone and as a consequence non urgent. They were our worst contractor by far.

This problem couldn't come at a worse time, given lock down. I can understand the desire to expand chat online but you're confusing me with a plethora of discussions and names. I can't decide how many of you are you, or a friend. Do you seriously want replies or are you channelling Dork? While I'm clearly not called TinyCO2, that's the name I discuss climate and now politics with. I only expanded into politics when AGW became the long game. I have other interests and other names but I don't mix them up because I like the freedom to speak on different topics without bringing baggage with me. eg Being a climate sceptic, a Conservative and a Brexiteer are persona non grata with a lot of people, so I prefer to keep quiet when in mixed company. Only as TinyCO2 do I admit to those things. It's been liberating.

So please, if you have to post on another device and don't want to change the settings, put your preferred name in the comment so we know its you. Put random thoughts on unthreaded where more of us are likely to read and maybe comment. Only start a newdiscussion if you think it will run and run. But apart from that I'm happy to chat.

I have moved my Sky hub to under my PC and I am now often getting speeds of over 10Mbps, even over 18 at times. Better than 0.00. C'est la vie.
