Discussion > Which populations should avoid using Avana 200 Mg?

Avana 200 mg contains Avanafil, a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. While generally safe for use in most adult men, there are certain populations who should avoid or use Avana 200 mg with caution:

Women and Children: Avana 200 mg is specifically intended for use in adult men and should not be used by women or children.

Men with Cardiovascular Issues: Individuals with a history of cardiovascular problems, such as heart disease, angina, heart failure, or recent heart attack, should use Avana 200mg cautiously. This medication can lower blood pressure, and using it with certain heart medications or conditions may be risky.

Men with Liver or Kidney Disease: Patients with severe liver disease (e.g., cirrhosis) or severe kidney disease (requiring dialysis) should avoid using Avana 200 mg due to the potential for increased drug accumulation in the body.

Men on Nitrate Medications: Avanafil, like other PDE5 inhibitors, can interact with nitrate medications (often used for chest pain or heart problems) and cause a severe drop in blood pressure. Therefore, Avana 200 mg should not be used concurrently with nitrates.

Men with Priapism or Penile Deformities: Individuals with conditions predisposing them to priapism (painful and prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours) or those with anatomical penile deformities should use Avana 200 mg with caution and under medical supervision.

Always consult with a healthcare provider before starting Avana 200 mg or any new medication, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking other medications, to ensure safety and effectiveness.
