I too watched that video and would agree with your assessment. I'd add that one thing about the IPCC reports I noticed is the divergence and emphasis busts between the big reports and the summaries for policymakers and then on to the spoutings of the policymakers and the true believers.
When I hear / read "All scientists agree" - I know I'm dealing with a fool or a knave (two things that aren't mutually exclusive)

Are you sure Starmer isn't a creation of ChatGPT? Something about his eyes reminds me of the dead eyes of computer game CGI characters: not vacant, like Biden's, but not with us either.
I actually took the time to watch that video Phil Clarke linked to. Nothing terribly disturbing in it. The presenter, "potholer54", picks holes in Durkin's film Climate: The Movie (the cold truth). Fair enough to argue: Durkin's film is a polemic after all.
But the comments to potholer54's video reveal him to be more dishonest than Durkin. He affects to be entirely on the side of science, claiming to be against anything that isn't supported by IPCC science.
Odd then, that he should spend so many hours putting together this video to debunk a movie that will only be seen by people who have actively sought it out (millions around the world, apparently). Meanwhile, nearly every day, the TV news tells us that this bad weather is a signal of climate change, or that wind power is the cheapest source of energy or that the cost of inaction is greater than the cost of action, etc., none of which is supported by IPCC science. And these sorts of reports are seen by hundreds of millions around the world.
potholer54 is every bit as much a polemecist as Durkin, but only potholer54 pretends to wear the infallible mantle of "science".

yep, Miliband is a moron - I'd be careful attributing mental health to the excuse path - he really deserves an energetic collision with reality.
Trouble is the cabinet is oversupplied with eejits - Starmer's team are obviously twitchy about letting any of them speak, especially Lammy this week? Must be like herding cats without an open tin of cstfood.

We can be sure that solid evidence and facts won't be allowed to stand in the way of mad Ed. Reality will catch up with him eventually, albeit at our expense. But maybe the House of Comrade Keir will collapse sooner rather than later; he wouldn't recognise leadership if it hit him between the eyes.
