Hello,

One of the things that has most got under my skin in the whole global warming scandal is the way that the Royal Society blatantly lied about its involvement in the selection of the papers for the Oxburgh review.

Would it be appropriate to methodically accuse the Royal Society of lying about this, as publicly as possible, until they are forced to either admit it or take someone to court? (I don't mind being the person they take to court BTW. I don't have much on. But I also don't have much of a public platform.)

The times they are a changin' (and maybe the Telegraph too)

The title of today's Sunday Telegraph letters page:-

"Whatever the weather, climate alarmists blame mankind"

"The alarmists use any weather – extreme or moderate – to denounce what they see as the wickedness of capitalism"

I thought the definition of a species was that it would not interbreed with other closely related species?

And now for something completely different...or at least funny. Courtesy of James Taranto's Best of teh Web in the Wall street Journal at online.wsj.com/article/best_of_the_web_today.html

"These Animals Are Acting Like Animals!
The Los Angeles Times reports that global warmism has taken on yet another feature of religion. It has developed a prudish streak. Only the warmists are moralistic about animal sex:

'As the world heats up and polar ice melts, different types of bears, whales and seals could meet and mate--but these unions may be far from happy, researchers said Wednesday. In fact, interspecies sex brought on by the melting Arctic ice could lead to the extinction of many endangered Arctic animals, the scientists said in an article published in the journal Nature.

At least 22 species are at risk of hybridizing in 34 different combinations, according to a team led by Brendan Kelly, an Alaska-based evolutionary biologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The pairings include polar bears and grizzlies, narwhals and beluga whales, and various assortments of seals. Some of those species are listed as endangered or threatened.'

We're with Cole Porter: Birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it. Let's do it, let's blame global warming."

More from Roger Helmer here. For once, a politician who seems to understand. Why do most of the others still have their heads in the sand?

Blow the bears, what about our electricity bills. The lunatics are going to jack them up another 25% so that 'investors' can make a profit on useless energy. -Though they are going to give government money to Nuclear (but it's absolutely not a subsidy, it's low carbon encouragement).

If a very large fraction of the population isn't following the students onto the streets by mid year I'll be very very surprised.
