Donna power - Josh 131

As I finish putting the scans together from Wednesday I felt this deserved a post of its own - also my favorite from the day.

Excellent Josh. Let's just hope the science of gravity is settled and remains the consensus.

Ball and chain called "Donna"??????

I sure Ms Laframboise is as delicate and fragrant as a rose petal.

She is indeed ;-)

Her book, however, is devastating.

Kebabed. Beware babes with balls.

Like some medieval monk, I plan to use the cartoon, Josh permitting, to illuminate my covering note when I send copies of Donna's book to a few editors to keep handy for comments when IPCC-quoting press releases come their way, and as a source of dozens of lively feature articles that would astound and inform their readerships.

With Apologies to the Beatles!!

From the "Cause" to Donna!

Oh, Donna.
Please believe us.
We will never do you no harm.
Believe us when we tell you,
We will never do you no harm.

Oh, Dona.
If you leave us,
We will never make it alone.
Believe us when we beg you,
Don't ever leave us alone.

John, great idea, please do. I have sent you the high res version by email.

Many thanks!

Josh:
Absolutely on point. May I suggest posting a link to the cartoon as your review of Donna's book at Amazon.com. Perhaps you could add some graffitti to the ball - Grey literature, unqualified authors, neglected review comments, Pachauri fibs... It will help the negative reviewers understand that the book is about the IPCC rather than climate science.

Bernie, thanks, good idea.

I don't know if any of you have enjoyed the truly magisterial review of Donna's book on Amazon from the pen of our very own Hengist McStone? I won't link, it's easy to find.

I'm sure Hengist is very pleased that as of this moment, no fewer than 8 people thought his generous and fair minded review helpful.

Sadly, so far 84 don't, but that's life.....

Poor Hengist! Yet another who obviously only scanned the book, if that. Like all the other one-star reviewers, he simply sees what he expects to see, even when it isn't there. They cannot understand that Donna's book has nothing to do with "The Science". To paraphrase Bill Clinton, it's "The Politics", stupid.

Just received Donna's book (from Amazon.com as I'm not into Kindle). What a marvellous incentive to read it. Thanks Josh.

The US Amazon site has 17 negative reviews. Compared to them, Hengist appears to have read the book at least. However, he is every bit the equal to his US counterparts who manage to distort what is in the book. His defense of the activist biologist's role as an IPCC author is laughable.

Josh, please post your review on both the UK and US Amazon sites.

Her book, however, is devastating.

Hear! Hear! And how brilliantly you've captured the essence! (And I'm gonna shamelessly copy, again!)

I'd love to see you do a series of "time-captoons" ... From Copenhagen to Durban ... [Copenhagen cracks] THSI+CG1 -> hammers COP leaning on IPCC leaning on hockey-stick ... [Cancun follies] IPCC+churnalists propping up (covering up?!) bent/broken hockey-stick ... [Durban dominoes] Donna demolishes IAC-cracked IPCC (desperately patching irreparable hockey-stick) ... which pushes COP into (Pachauri's?!) dustbin ... skeptic waves drowning die-hard apologist churnalists (Carrington, Harrabin et al?) ...some CG2 highlights ... finale: crowds in bookstores lined up to buy THSI and TDT!

Or something along those lines ;-)

Josh,

Hope you don't mind ... but I've adapted Bernie's suggestion above and posted your Donna Power as a "customer image" on both US and U.K. Amazon sites - with full credit and citation of cartoonsbyjosh.com [to the extent that I could get your url past the former's "guidelines" which are more stringent than those of the latter].

But if you would prefer to post yourself, pls let me know and I'll take mine down :-)
