If windfarms are such a good idea, why aren't they being built in open space land in London, such as Hyde Park, Hampstead Heath etc.

Surely if us country bumpkins are being selfish by objecting to them, the townies ought to set an example.

Don't know about the RAF but Luftwaffe did. Worked with an He 111 vet in Saint Louis in the '70s who was on a pension from his service over England and later Russia. It accumulated in a bank account in Munich and he and spouse went over every couple of years for a vacation to spend it.

The plane missing from the wonderful Pachauri cartoon should be a 747.

Idealistic, Greenie inspired youngsters may have no idea who Chamberlain was, but such an image might set them wondering and when they enquire they'll discover an historic perspective. Demonstrating that Rushing headlong into new ventures one has to be mindful of the unintended consequences that will inevitably arise and cann't necessarily be foreseen. It does add a certain gravitas to a subject, that otherwise tends to be dominated by innocent, unbridled enthusiasm.

This image could also be the missing link, that will bring the seriousness of the situation to the attention of a still largely brainwashed & oblivious public. It needs to get a wide distribution. T-shirts for the
upcoming Anti-Carbon Tax rallies in Aus. might be as good a vehicle as any to get it out there.

Now I'm thinking of getting more done, to give to all my environmentalist friends.

It's great how that image can be read both ways. On the face of it supporting an Eco friendly world, which I'm all in favour off btw. , but with the underlying message that only those with a deeper historical perspective will
get.

I don't know where Josh gets his talent from , but I think this piece is worthy of even that great Czech tradition, for cartooning under oppression.
Indeed it's frightening to think, that in the Czechoslovakia of those times , one would have been thrown in jail for less than this.
