Delicious to see the right roasting one of its own :-)
I saw this announcement this morning. Oh the irony. I used to live in Suffolk, UK. My MP was Gumball and yippie yeo was next door. Both of them are big time troughers. The irony is that his constituency and not the liberal PM dismissed him.

As an EX-LibDem-voting Guardian reader, I found that I was being lied to - so I adjusted my position. What do you when you are deceived? Join the deceivers because they are in your club or grow a spine and make a stand? Topical, given Robert Way's current dilemma - to go with his conscience and what he knows to be true or deceive along with the herd of bovines who have a 'traitor' in their sights.
Presumably you wanted him to stay and push sustainable power Chandra?

Despite the dreadful hijacking by both left and right, this is really not a question of politics – it is a question of scientific integrity. Alas, the climatrologists fail on all counts.
I agree with Stephen Richards – vote UKIP! (alternatively, vote for anyone but any of the three main parties, be they BNP, UAF or Raving Monster Loonies [def my choice]).

Apparently despite his conflicts of interest being stated he won against his opponent Philip Hollobone on a secret ballot by 349 votes against 201.
Hollobone had no conflicts of interest at all. But he could be categorised as not 'on message' enough for this committee by his fellow MP's. He was a contemporary of Nigel Farage, a Eurosceptic with the reputation of being 'rated as the Conservatives most rebellious MP'. UKIP did not field a candidate against Hollobone in the 2010 general election and subsequently campaigned for his re-election as a result of his Eurosceptic views. He supported Roger Helmer at the time of his UKIP defection.
In 2013 Hollobone was one of 4 MPs who camped outside Parliament in a move to facilitate parliamentary debate on what they called an “Alternative Queen’s Speech” – an attempt to show what a future Conservative government might deliver. Some 42 policies were listed including reintroduction of the death penalty and conscription, privatising the BBC, banning the burka in public places and preparation to leave the European Union.
That he got 201 votes is a rare glimmer of light in the darkness. Perhaps the worm is slowly turning.
To further reveal my own distrust of one who is not willing to provide evidence to support outrageous claims (and possibly sufficiently o/t to be snipped), let me ask you, Chandra, to join Entropic Man in his attempt to predict the unpredictable with Jiminy Cricket’s linked pendulums. Once you can predict the path of ONE of the pendulums in a chain of 10, you can rejoin this argument (see you in about a thousand years…!).
Alternatively, you can answer my second question (from Ridley et al on shale (Nov 27, 2013)), and give us an example of where and when there is incontrovertible evidence of contamination of the aquifer by hydraulic fracturing fluid, or by hydraulic fracturing (Note: proof of a leak is NOT proof of contamination).

I'm looking forward to many Tory voters plumping for UKIP. Best recipe for defeat of the right I can imagine (assuming, as is likely that Labour/LibDems are not going to provide one).

Please take a leaf out of Euan Mearns book, and learn. He joined us with provocative statements – whether to chivvy us up a bit or unaware of the intellect and knowledge of so many, I have not the wit to fathom. Whichever, his arguments quickly became more mature and reasonable, and he is prepared to provide evidence to support his argument – which you have yet to do.
Time to run off all of the "porkoisie."
