Selfie Mann - Josh 294
Sep 25, 2014 Anthony Watts Climate: Mann Josh
The world's first climate cartoon selfie: includes Anthony Watts, Nic Lewis, Andrew Montford, David & Kate Holland, Caroline K, Richard Drake, Katabasis, James Delingpole, Leo Hickman, Richard Betts, Barry Woods, Michel Opdebeeck, Stephan Lewandowsky, John Cook and me holding Michael Mann in place for this historic moment. Were you there too? I drew you in the back somewhere ;-)
If you are interested in the cartoon notes I drew at the Mann talk click on the thumbnail below to see a larger version:
I also drew some cartoon notes at the meeting before the talk - click the image below to see a larger version:

Wonderful, Josh. How MM would hate it!
What a mix of heroes, villains, jobsworths, and buffoons in the selfie.
Another toast: Confusion to 'The Cause'!
And 'Cheers to The Pause' is good. The weather gods have long displayed a malevolent sense of humour with regard to 'the cause', with 'the pause' being their longest-running gag to date.
A third toast: to Josh, for capturing so much so well, for charm and penetration combined with a compassionate sense of humour!
thanks again, Josh, I feel very famous!
What's Dennis the Menace doing in there?
You have the gift of prescience, Josh. Left hand, right hand and god somehow balancing it out.
Pointman
What's that movie where the person asks for volunteers to step forward and everyone but one steps back?
Mann was the gormless person who volunteered to take the public blame for the failure of climate science. And he was just too arrogant and plain stupid not to step back.
That's his claim to fame. A gormless scapegoat. A red rag to be tossed and stamped on by an angry media allowing the real conspirators who rigged the climategate inquiries etc. time to make good their escape (to retirement).
So, the big question now is when the public have had their "piece" of Mann will they then turn on the rest of them?
Would anyone who was at both events like to make and estimate of how many BH readers attended Mann's talk at Bristol relative to the number who attended Dr Salby's talk at the House of Commons?
Just an update on the security. apparently it is quite normal for there to be some "after hours" but there were more requested for the book signing!!!
FREE EVENTS : Friday, 26 September European Researchers' Night across many places in Europe

All seem to feature a lot of good non-climate lectures/stuff (not that much green propaganda this year)
- This will give you the opportunity to visit labs and meet some scientists..Those who haven't been before will learn that some scientists really know what science is ..and that some other scientists seem to have NO knowledge of how the proper scientific process works and/or have no grasp of common maths fallacies etc.

Good work, Josh.
I think this calls for a 2015 Calendar, widely available in the Commonwealth, the UK and of course the USA.
I've stolen a snippet from one of Josh's images above to illustrate a quick note on my own blog.
I trust that Josh and the Bishop don't mind (the links back). Wish that I had the talent to do my own artwork.
