It's half term here and I'm off for a week. Blogging will therefore be light, although Josh and Messenger might post topical items in my absence.

The Bish off for a week, that must explain the long line of environmentalists trying to get onto the BBC to peddle their wares unopposed, starting today on R4 with Prof McGlade, chief scientist at UNEP, i.e. a once respected academic, now gone full planet saver (and collector of tax free salary?) and renewable energy finger pointer.

Apparently she is very worried about the loss of the renewable subsidies in the UK, and the effect this will have on the tiny UK percentage of global emissions, and don't forget all those "green" scaffolder and electrician jobs at risk.

TinyCO2, not to worry, the Guardian claimed Vaz and Mandelson were not implicated in the Hinduja passport row, and Tata steel has done very nicely over concentrating their CO2 production in India rather than the UK with its ludicrous and punitive costs.

Another Climate Change Act success story for Labour and the UK's workforce to blame on someone else.

Perhaps Amber Rudd would like to explain some of the historical background before the DECC causes more redundancies, from the UK's growth market in exporting CO2 production, so that greedy industrialists can reap financial benefits from Carbon Credits. This would allow the Tories to address their complicity, and takes steps to redress the inequalities caused to the UK's workforce and wider economy.

A healthy political row now, would be very constructive in the run up to Paris, allowing the UK's top negotiators to appreciate there is no consensus in the House of Commons, let alone that mysterious place outside Westminster called the United Kingdom.

Looking at the Amazon 'Look Inside' sample, it contains a lot of good detail on the history of the Earth's climate and drivers of chance. However, two figures are listed in the sample index (figures not visible) with the following captions that give cause for concern:
