Pachauri guilty

From the Deccan Chronicle

An internal committee of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) found its director general RK Pachauri guilty in a sexual harassment case.

Reportedly, the three-member panel of Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) found that Pachauri made repeated attempts at establishing a personal bond with the young woman colleague, which caused her “harassment”.

This will give him more time to play with compliant models

The unsavoury leader of a bunch of self serving gits. Time and again questions are raised but the key players just shrug off the criticisms, even resorting to insulting and taunting those calling for honesty and openess. It becomes a solid international conspiracy where maintaining the status quo is worth a lot of money. Honest people fear to speak up because they know that it will just result in expulsion... oh I thought you were talking about Blatter. However...

May 30, 2015 at 4:09 PM | Unregistered CommenterTinyCO2

Pachauri might get to share a cell with Seth Blatter.

May 30, 2015 at 4:15 PM | Unregistered Commenterjamspid

jamspid, I am sure they could come up with some wildly exaggerated conspiracy theories, about theories based on conspiracies about wild exaggerations. Pachauri didn't get the girl though, so there may be some jealousy.

It is sad that an international body has been riddled with corruption for over 20 year, and nothing they produced, or results they generated can be relied on.

Will womens topless beach volleyball survive a rise in sea levels? This is the Important question that Seth and Raj can now concentrate on.

It's Sepp Blatter, not Seth - maybe short for Septimus, I don't know.

May 30, 2015 at 5:30 PM | Unregistered CommenterMH

MH, apologies! But any chance to use a sentence linking Blatter and FIFA, with Pachauri and IPCC, should not be missed. Even the Grauniad may be able to join the dots, now Rushbridger is drawing his ill-gotten pension.

There must be some lucrative work in measuring the changing climates in prisons all over the world, and how it effects reproductive ability.

I predict that both Pachy and Blatter will somehow avoid incarceration. Those sort of people always do.

Sepp is short for Joseph somehow, silent H I suppose.

May 30, 2015 at 5:56 PM | Registered CommenterBreath of Fresh Air

Breath of Fresh Air and MH, Italian Joseph is Giuseppe .......

But I was still wrong in my original post!

The article referred to the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). Pachauri has been taking the P out of the IPCC for years. Aparently Pachauri had been trying to tell witnesses what to say. Who would have thought someone in Climate Science would try to change historic evidence? No wonder he was Chair of the IPCC.

Just think how different the 1966 world cup final result could be today, if climate science ran football.

The Russians win the next world cup, if anyone is interested, and the one after that may be in Antarctica, where the IPCC approved temperature will be a balmy 25c.

Would it be simpler to get footballers to guess future world temperatures, and let climate scientists go and play play football?

If the results are based on who gets the biggest 'incentive', skill does not come into it.

In order to salve their own consciences, to cleanse themselves of a vestige of a perceived legacy of white colonial supremacy, the Oxbridge educated white middle class senior management permeating across such 'august' institutions like the BBC and see the world in rose pink prism, where the white man is the evil doer, land despoiler, pillager and rapist.

A new religion replaced the old, social justice warriorship, political correctness - bashing, trashing the old ways, "multiculti was in baby, yah!" And equality quotas whether you wanted them or not was the rage, plus: all things green became the new recreational trance inducement of choice.

Earlier heroes and heroines have come and gone, Rachel Carson, Chairman Mao, Bruce Kent, Che Guevara, Greenpiss, pot smoking and amnesty.

Mightier yet, sometime terrorist freedom fighter and dodgy fella Nelson Mandela was raised to some sort of sainthood, aye and what a success story is South Africa and Zimbabwe and Nelson always turned a blind eye to Mugabe's mass murder funnily enough - ah but that was no problem for the BBC though, that, minor detail.

So, when Pachauri was installed, Asian rises to the top of UN-IPCC cue the champagne corks popping in BBC broadcasting house, there was no doubting that the fakir of green Mr Pachauri was destined for a similar misplaced but lofty regard.

No hint of any reportage yet on BBC lines of and on Rajendra's nasty demise, I can't think why - can you?

May 30, 2015 at 9:17 PM | Unregistered CommenterAthelstan.

Athelstan, it could be the BBC are too focused on FIFA fraud and corruption. How much have they paid, just to secure the rights, to bid for the next World Cup? More importantly, how many top BBC bods were expecting free seats? I don't know which courts you would go to, to claim a refund on bribery money, that is not disclosed in FIFA accounts.

Obviously IPCC accounts, like climate scientists financial records, are completely transparent, and any similarities with FIFA, are a mere coincidence, involving greedy corrupt liars.

Pachauri was a director of the Indian Oil Corporation at the same time as being head of the IPCC. Surprised Alan Rusbridger never reported that.

Pachauri was on the Board of Directors (January 1999 to September 2003)

On 20 April 2002, Pachauri was elected Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations panel established by the WMO and UNEP to assess information relevant for understanding climate change.

If Blatter has been ripping off Football for 20 years, there is a scary correlation, with the amount of time there has been NO global warming.

It is more credible than the ridiculous CO2 theory anyway.

It seems support for Blatter, comes from greedy people from the poorer countries hoping to cash in on the scam, and support for the IPCC comes from greedy people and countries hoping to cash in on the scam.

Should candidates for Pachauri's post be asked about their favourite Hockey or Football Team?

Survival of the fittest, has been corrupted into survival of the Fattest Cat.

golf charlie:

The difference between Climate Scientists and modern footballers is that the latter play the game very well. If the two groups were to swap professions we would get the situation where both the "Science" and Football would be very poor.
(Apologies to those footballers who understand science, as they probably out number their opposites).

It hardly seems worthwhile, although we would see new jargon in the mouths of football commentators... the Pachauri pass, the Rushberger dribble etc.

This is the full quote. Pachauri was Mr Fossil Fuel (India)

He (Pachauri ) had been on the Board of Directors of the Indian Oil Corporation (1999-2003), GAIL (India) Ltd. (largest gas transmission and marketing company in India), 2003-2004 and National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (includes coal and gas generation) - 2002-2005.

Actually, there is a parallel between Pachauri and Sepp (diminutive of Josef) Blatter. They are both contemptuous of women. Here's what Blatter said about women's football in 2004:

Let the women play in more feminine clothes like they do in volleyball. They could, for example, have tighter shorts.

No doubt Pachauri would have applauded the sentiment,

May 31, 2015 at 1:50 AM | Unregistered CommenterRick Bradford

Blatter is probably just a common crook but Pachauri is a "Sexual Predator" , both unproven in a court of law yet.

Pachauri wrote a steamy Pulp Erotic Novel er were any Alarm Bells ringing at the United Nations even on the grounds of taste and reputation.Sex Power Politics and Abuse and Corruption.

Pachauri wrote of a young man,s sexual fantasies and sadly revert back into an old man,s political fantasies.Power dangerous consuming aphrodisiac be it the worlds energy policy or the attention of a 29 year old attractive lowly subordinate female researcher.
Maybe she is a victim of Climate Change Dogma too.

Climate Change High Powered Exploitative Political Bandwagon maybe that is what attracts Dangerous Naracists like Pachauri and others.

163,000 results on google for “Pachauri guilty”, mostly in the Indian media, some 2 days old.. Advanced search for the UK only: 14 results of which 3 at BH and one for the Hindustan Times.

jamspid, it is a testament to Green/Left politics, that a greedy lecherous powercrazed nobody like Pachauri could realise all his ambitions, and become famous for it. I think it is called equality of opportunity.

Science was an irrelevant sideshow to the Green/Left. It still is.

Lewandowsky could write a brilliant paper on it. If he knew anything about his subject.

May 31, 2015 at 12:22 PM | Unregistered Commentergolf charlie

geoffchambers, it seems that in India, the wrongdoings, of the Green/Left are rather more important. Of course that is not a reliable sample, because those who suffer Green/Left dogma the most, probably don't have access to the internet, let alone reliable power supplies.

The Green/Left NGO's claim victimisation about the hard time they are getting in India. They really ought to get out of their airconditioned offices more, take a packed lunch, and give it away, if they want to do something useful to help.

Obstructing development of reliable power, clean fresh water, sewage treatment etc, is not helping. If something good is to come out of Pachauri's failed attempt at an affair, I hope that the Indian population demands an end to Green/Left madness. China is providing aid to neighbouring countries, in the way that the USA and West used to, for fear of the spread of communism. There is a warning here that the Green/Left don't want to talk about.
