A good development.
Picking on Arctic ice as a poster-child for their alarmism was a mistake by the PR warriors of the Climate Alarm Industry. It is a very variable, volatile measure liable to bite the hand that tries to feed off it.

Since George Harrison died in 2001, this Sun article was clearly written by a Ghost Writer.
I suppose we should be grateful and I appreciate that this PR battle may never be won without the support of Murdoch newspapers..........but the quality of the journalism is so dire it is unlikely to influence the thinking person.

Note that the writer of the piece, George Harrison, is only 18 years old. He seems to have coped rather well with the climate alarmism he has been exposed to throughout his life. A life which of course has not included any global warming to talk of. Here is a link to his article.
Actually will be true for the UK. Every shoulder will be very cold, again, this winter, as the grand minimum careens along. If he had added a "stiff, cold shoulder", then he'd be spot on since he'll be frozen given the loss of energy in the UK by following the green agenda.
Don't you think the "Sun's Professor" (yes that what they have called him) should have been consulted? You all know who he is.

In my experience, that is unlikely to be true. Joe Public is generally thicker than 2 short planks.
The Sun should have printed a headline: "The green mania, a financial calamity, how it will destroy Britain".
GOTCHA - BRITAIN IS BEING TORPEDOED BY THE GREEN BLOB
'The Sun', this newspaper printing articles relating to the man made CO²= warming myth - it should focus on the socializing of the mind boggling costs of the 2008 CCA.
Hence, the article could have referenced the enforced burden imposed on the taxpayers and what we see and pay out - extra on our household bills now - is only the start of a price hike which will rise up to +£400 a pop for combined electricity and gas levies. Erm..... not to forget the £trillions wasted, the utter futility of green palliatives designed by idiots, built by foreigners, paid for by us to produce < electricity.
Indeed, with underlying costs such as the carbon floor price and fuel taxes with inbuilt escalators thanks to green duties - thus from production to transport costs - everything the consumer purchases is made more expensive.
Not only that, the Sun should provide its readers with some insight into the green lobby and how the green monster canes us all again, through having to cough up £billions - for an army of green propaganda coordinators everywhere - from NHS trusts, councils, eco quangos, charidees, government departments, the bbc, and inclusive of the Wet Office.
Remember, for every green job created, 3½ are lost to the real economy - the rush to deindustrialize Britain will cost us dear and will bring about an economic implosion, hence destroying jobs, causing misery and affecting national security.

Yes. But whilst the sun has a proud history of publishing drivel (seemingly appreciated by its readership), RuinablesUK is in a different class when it comes to being deliberately mendacious. Only WorldWildLies / Greenpiss / Fiends of the Earth / The Grantham Institute and that lot are in that league.

So apparently Ken agrees with most sceptics here, that when the alarmists say "could" you shouldn't take it seriously.
The interesting thing is NOT that a journalist is saying something that we (generally) agree with. Though probably getting the details wrong.
The interesting thing is that he (and his editor) do not see it as career-limiting. If this sort of thing spreads then the cleverer and more influential people will become less afraid to stand up and be counted....

You are clearly missing the most important parts of climate science.
1. The climate now, is what climate scientists say it is.
2. The previous climate was definitely what climate scientists said it was, unless climate scientists choose now, to say the previous climate was not as they previously said it definitely was.
3. Any difference between 1 and 2 is climate change, as defined by climate scientists, subject to convenient changes made by climate scientists, as and when, also, now and then, deemed necessary by climate scientists.
This is why climate science is such a fast moving and fluid science, and too difficult for non climate scientists to understand.

Yes some small part of Yamal had some trees, and climate scientists drilled holes in those trees whilst on a camping trip.
This goes to prove that climate scientists know nothing about gathering firewood on a camping trip. Hence they got cold feet about camping, and made stuff up instead, and turned the results, for the sake of climate science, on their head.

Talking of the Sun, the GWPF have flagged up a new paper published in the Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics, and reported on the HockeySchtick blog titled 'Solar Activity & Cosmic Rays Control Climate.
It finds a new potential climate control similar but distinct from Svensmark's theory, focussing on the greenhouse influence of lower stratospheric ozone levels influenced by cosmic rays, moderated by solar and geomagnetic field variability.

Salopian, it was me not our resident Radical Rodent who erroneously introduced the fish and chip wrapping reference, however if the Sun Says that global warming is a scam on a regular basis, and incites the public into a revolting mood, there will be tears at the Guardian, if they have done as they have advised their readers, and divested themselves of common sense.
Page 3 girls probably know more about comfortable ambient temperatures, than Guardian science correspondents, and what actually happens when things get too hot, or too cold.
