The best way to remember how entertaining (or horrifying) climate science, energy policy etc, was in 2017 is to buy a Cartoons by Josh Calendar.
The calendar is a new size this year and while the cartoons are the same size the space for the diary dates is reduced. This cuts the printing and posting costs by nearly half to £10 (+P&P) per calendar - which means less fossil fuel money and every calendar saving the planet just a little bit more!

Listen to a economic/banking propogandist such as Francis Cuppola in her latest Forbes article.
Inflation is caused by everthing but monopoly in her HSBC skewed philosophy.
Inflation /energy consumption dynamics and its impact on humans (rationing) is obvious to a child.
Bernard Connelly has been very quiet this year ,now that the UK is collapsing we can see his critique of euroland was correct but limited given his monetarist philosophy.
The UK is unwilling or incapable of dealing with its post enclosure baggage &glorious revolution monopolies - the subsequent price pressure on now limited income is causing a final implosion of its society making "independence" a impossibly.
It needed a fiat King with the balls to tell the banks go and have intercourse with themselves - sadly you only have the Winsors and a parliamentary oligarchy.
Cue total national destruction.....
The Irish 2016 energy balance published recently vommits out predictable figures
All~ of Corrib gas field production went into electricity transformation , home formation rationing is reflected in the continued small % of gas used for heating&cooking.
There is a continued absence of electric car energy consumption figures from the balance despite the tiny irish electric rail sector registering.
I am sure the 3000~ elec cars is beginning to overpower Dublins Luas & Dart but perhaps I am wrong.

So the jump of gas consumption in the transformative sector was nearly the size of the entire residential sector !!!!!! and yet they bombard people with rationing propaganda
All that sacrifice of real consumption ( lagging the attic instead of drinking in the pub) was lost in a single year by the corporate sector

You might think after this huge rise of inputs in the elec transformation sector residential elec consumption would also explode - it declined slightly by 1kb.....
And those with an unsaleable, low quality, imitation-product try to pass it off as being the same as the real thing.

Not as someone super-smart, as you might like to think. Nor as somebody that has anything original or important to say. Why was question time curtailed by an ill lady?
Sad to see Euan Mearns latest piece where he seeks to get under & inside UK GDP figures.
He falls at the first hurdle by not understanding what GDP is : its total prices in the economy and is certainly not productivity (wasted productivity perhaps)
Inflation targeting by central banks & government policy (migration movement , industrial sabotage etc) and GDP targeting is the same thing.
He also falls for the auld Labour theory of value nonsense in this machine age.
What matters to real people is rises of net income per capita , the only mechanism to achieve this is a collapse of GDP , a collapse of pointless for most activity.
Given his philosophical mistake he & others suggests rationing old people so as to feed the dragon of economic growth.
Simple connections are not made - namely what is the purpose of economic growth if you must ration to achieve it.
We now can more easily understand the schism between the medieval view of production (its purpose was consumption) and the modernist purpose of production ( expansion)
Mars can never become the new America , capitalist logic requires death as expulsion is no longer a option given we live on a sphere.
Once you get this you realize a conservative can never be a capitalist.
Not even Peter Hitchens is a conservative as he only wants to turn the clock back to the glorious revolution.
Obviously revolution & conservatism are polar opposites.
