I suspect that Flynn likely has a strong case to make in court wrt hitting the perps for punitive damages - it's only fair....
The unravelling might undo a few from the last administration and Schiff in particular which would be very entertaining.

In the UK, if a Civil Servant is "done" for fraud, corruption, breaches of Official Secrecy etc, they can also lose their Pensions, in addition to any punishment /sentence delivered by a Judge.

Civil Servant "done" for something ? I can only recall a bare handful over 40 years that went public when my own experience indicates that abuse of public trust and responsibility is fairly common and goes mostly unpunished.
- I see that the mendacious weasels at the UK "state broadcaster" are choosing to completely ignore the Flynn business.

It gets embarrassing for their Civil Service bosses if they get cross examined in Court by Defence Barristers, so many opt to accept offers to resign, suddenly, for family reasons without fuss or further recriminations. If there are associated Criminal Investigations, some charges and associated matters may be shelved by mutual consent in exchange for an admission of guilt and a quickie uncontested trial and sentence.

In two instances over the last 10 years I have seen senior officials (both perpetrators of criminal acts) at The Environment Agency simply "disappear" - there one day, gone the next - no warning or announcement according to others in the same offices. In one case the gent concerned simply stopped showing up at his office, the mobile went dead and emails bounced..... Others took "early retirement".
