Discussion > President Trump
Here's the full interview, from mid-June

The part that JoNova quoted starts around 5:30. Prior to that Harris talks at length about the history of protest in America and the ability of peaceful protest to bring about change. JoNova is being breathtakingly dishonest to use the short xcerpt to claim Harris supports violence. She said nothing like that.
A few days ago, again talking about peaceful protesters Sen. Harris said
We should not confuse them with those looting and committing acts of violence, including the shooter who was arrested for murder. And make no mistake, we will not let these vigilantes and extremists derail the path to justice

Same old, same?
elsewhere
Harris? - anybody take her seriously? - honestly? I can get swept up temporarily by well crafted rhetoric - but Harris has all the sincerity, charisma and gravitas of a second tier regional TV presenter reading an autocue.
Things are going to warm up a bit when these guys get outdoors and start dancing in the streets oh, yes...
Representative Eric Swalwell (D) doubles down on his slander of Kyle Rittenhouse, who is now represented by same legal team as Nick Sandmann.
Hmmm..... that could end up being a bit spicy.
From the mouths of babes

Yeah... we can handle the mob, they'll do whatever we tell them to, we own them George said....
ahem... - Now they’re trying to burn down the appartment building where the Mayor of Portland lives.
Shooting the guy in the back many times. I mean, couldn’t you have done something different, couldn’t you have wrestled him? You know, I mean, in the meantime, he might’ve been going for a weapon. And you know there’s a whole big thing there. But they choke, just like in a golf tournament, they miss a three-foot putt.
I'll just leave that there.
There are undoubtedly bad cops - and Drumph knows that as much as the next person - there are also good cops.
Bad cop / good cop can be a nuanced situation - in the case of that particular shooting I understand that the guy was tasered twice, wrestled with the cops and issued an assortment of threats as he went to the car (which if I'm not mistaken wasn't his) It was a 911 call.
Anybody can opine on the matter - it is for the courts and a jury to decide what happens now.
The man was the subject of a restraint order - he knew he was in the wrong but obviously didn't give a shit.
Any sensible person would've allowed themselves to be carted off to the police station.... it was inevitable and any resistance would just add to any fine/jail time....
It went from bad to worse - but yeah... blame it on Orange Man .... or something like that.
TDS on stilts with elevator heels
That whooshing sound is the point as it passes over Tomo's head.
And what point would that be ?
really ... I'd have that TDS looked at
Um, equating acts of police brutality that have left people dead or in a wheelchair for life with missing a putt on the 18th green does not exactly reek of empathy.
Coming after 'it is what it is' on the US death count.
You need a new slur.
Clarky has led a sheltered life obviously.
Actions have consequences
Sometimes those consequences are deeply unpleasant and life changing.
Do tell us what you might have done if presented with somebody like the gentleman involved in the Kenosha incident who shrugged off being tasered twice , wrestled off several cops and headed for a vehicle purportedly issuing threats as he went. The cops attending the 911 Emergency Call were also likely aware of some background info that's being squabbled about in the MSM - situational awareness and all that.
It's all about emotions and appearances isn't it? The actual situation is just fodder for the MSM.
Jacob Blake brought this on himself. Should he have been allowed to simply carry on until he ran out of petrol or something ?
Do tell
It seems some actual black people don't see Mr. Blake as much of a victim and have been far harsher and more judgemental than DJT.
Cops shoot people and sometimes cops shoot innocent people - and that isn't acceptable. Empathising ... appropriate sometimes, sometimes not.
Nope, still not getting it.
Clarky swerves the substantive issues to indulge his TDS.
The wrongdoer is the victim and we should all side with him - just pathetic. Do you really think Biden / Harris / Democrats are sincere in "empathising" with Blake ? - really? Do you think BLM care about him beyond his political utility ? If you do - you're a terminally deluded TDS sad sack.
So many questions and so few answers.
“Jacob Blake brought this on himself.“.
What SEVEN, count them SEVEN, shots in the BACK, yes that’s right, in the BACK That would seemingly be unjustified, except in tomo’s and the President’s world, where police are always innocent, even when there is video evidence of their attempted murder But in today’s America a black man walking away is (un)fair game 👮♂️
My point was about Trump's cloth-eared tone-deaf response. The exact opposite of what is needed right now.
I don't know enough about the detail of what happened in either of the recent killings to second-guess the courts. Apparently a police officer may only use deadly force when ' necessary to prevent the escape and the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious bodily harm to the officer or others.' My reading of the video evidence is that it does not come anywhere close to that standard; Blake had one officer's weapon trained on him, while another officer grabbed him by the shirt with one hand and shot him repeatedly with the other. It's a miracle none of the children in the car were hurt.
Hard to see how that is lawful, but I am content to leave it to the courts to decide and I am not going to get into any hypothetical and redundant would he/should he.
Fun Fact: The US police kill Blacks at 2.86 times the rate they kill Whites.
Sorry. One killing, one maiming. One loses count.
Elsewhere in the same interview, our stable genius was asked who is pulling Joe Biden's strings….
People that you’ve never heard of, people that are in the dark shadows. People that –Laura: What does that mean? That sounds like a conspiracy theory. Dark shadows. What is that?
Trump: No. People that you haven't heard of. They are people that are on the streets, they're people that are controlling the streets. We had somebody get on a plane from a certain city this weekend..
This echoes Rand Paul's complaint, referenced upthread:
Just got attacked by an angry mob of over 100, one block away from the White House. I think we’re going to find out that these people are hired and from out of town. … They flew here on a plane. They’ve all got fresh new clothes, and they were paid to be here. It’s a crime to do that, and it needs to be traced. The FBI needs to investigate
I am not sure that the FBI is empowered to investigate black people for the crime of owning new clothes, but Trump was happy to expand …
I'll tell you sometime, but it's under investigation right now. And in the plane, it was almost completely loaded with thugs, wearing these dark uniforms, black uniforms, with gear and this and that. But they came from a certain city and this person was coming to the Republican National Convention. And there were like seven people in the plane like this person and then a lot of people were in the plane to do big damage.
People from the Dark Shadows? Mysterious planes? Black uniforms? Paranoid delusions are an early indicator of various cognitive disorders, including Alzheimers. The debates could be interesting.
AK
The police are categorically not all innocent and I'm *certainly* not defending them as a group entity - they obviously have their share and possibly more than their fair share of bad apples attracted by the arbitrary powers bestowed on them. Justine Diamond's killer was purportedly recruited on a diversity drive.....
If a policeman was pointing a gun at you, would you deliberately walk away from him , open a car door and reach in?
Irrational desperation or just plain mean figure in many of the shootings - example
As I understand it Mr Blake was Tasered twice in the run-up to being shot in the car - the rapidity of something innocuous turning lethal is breathtaking - example
What kind of crazy person walks away from a policeman (possibly two) pointing a gun at him ?
As to the number of shots - that looks like an exceeding stressy situation and obviously the adrenaline is pumping after a wrestle and two Tasers...
They could have shot him once in a foot? - that'd probably be a felony assault - and anyway, real bullets aren't like in Hollywood movies... he went to the car and reached in ... see female police officer incident in LA linked above.
I'm guessing Clarky has never been in a riot, never had a gun pointed at him by what looks like an agitated nutter and never been threatened by somebody with a knife - rural Derbyshire huh?
As to Antifa black clobber and mob tactics - oh yeah - there's spontaneity for you, grass roots revolt, "revolution" even...
Black people and new clothes? what patronising and race baiting claptrap - even CNN have difficulty in hiding the paleness of many AntiFa and BLM goons on their way to the Nike store.
Remember - looting is legitimate protest! - as is burning down local shops and local businesses.
yeah... even Joe and Kamala got that... well, maybe Joe did ...
What colour is the sky on your world?
Life in the US will be just a riot, what fun!
http://joannenova.com.au/2020/08/reagan-on-rioters-whats-to-negotiate/
The Democrats are basically running on extortion.
Democrat supporters are terrorizing the nation and as Kamala says with a smile about “protesters”:
“…they’re not going to stop, and nor should they”.
