Trump on the Russia investigation and sacking Rosenstein and Mueller

imho - actually worth a watch.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/robert-mueller-warning-many-news-stories-on-russia-collusion-probe-are-wrong_2496293.html

"Many stories about the investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia have been wrong, according to a spokesman for the office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

The spokesman did not articulate which stories have been inaccurate, but the statement was issued amid media inquiries about a McClatchy DC article that said Mueller had evidence that President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, traveled to Prague, contrary to testimony Cohen gave under oath."

Did FusionGPS know about their own inaccuracies?

"Former FBI Director James Comey said Thursday he would "potentially" be a witness against his former aide Andrew McCabe if a case is brought against him."

Earlier Thursday, the Justice Department's inspector general referred its findings on McCabe, the former FBI deputy director, to the US attorney's office in Washington for possible criminal charges associated with lying to internal investigators, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Asked if he could end up being a witness, Comey said "potentially."
"Sure, given that the IG's report reflects interactions that Andy McCabe had with me and other senior executives, I could well be a witness," Comey said

No doubt McCabe will consider which form of counter-attack will be his best form of defence.

Trump allies urge criminal investigations of Clinton, Comey, Lynch

By KYLE CHENEY 04/18/2018 11:57 AM EDT

"Eleven House conservatives are calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray to mount criminal investigations into a slew of former Obama administration leaders and high-ranking Justice Department officials — including Hillary Clinton, James Comey and Loretta Lynch.

“In doing so, we are especially mindful of the dissimilar degrees of zealousness that has marked the investigations into Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the presidential campaign of Donald Trump,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter released Wednesday by Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.)."

Trump said he would not pursue Clinton as a personal vendetta (or words to that effect) when he won the Election, but if the US public agree that it is in the public's interest, to see that US Law is applicable to all, then it should not be Trump's decision to take.

GC, I reckon it is possible Mueller may now go quietly because he has now already done the worst he can do.
The state of play: The investigation has uncovered no evidence of Trump colluding with naughty Russians during the election. If there was any evidence we would have heard about it by now. No surprises really, because there clearly never was any collusion as alleged. It was as ridiculous as the golden-shower-gate story we now know to have been cooked up by Democrat sources.

But what Mueller has now done, is violate the Attorney-Client legal privileges and accessed private communications between Trump and his lawyer. Ostensibly done legally for his investigation, I don't think I've seen a given reason of what information he was specifically after that he had good cause to both believe was both there, and also believe was necessary for his investigation. Given that unreasonable search and seizure is still a part of the US Constitution, my understanding is that while 'irrelevant' information obtained by such fishing expeditions cannot be legally divulged or used as evidence to start other proceedings against Trump, the incredibly leaky FBI will now make sure that any such information is leaked to those enemies who would wish to have it. They can then set about disseminating it further to either embarrass Trump politically, or find ways of acquiring the same information by legal means so that further proceedings against Trump can be legally initiated. (This of course is the same compromised FBI that was clearly used by Obama and Clinton to spy on the Trump team in the election campaign. A scandal worse than Watergate if proven, but the BBC and other MSM have done a sterling job of not noticing, presumably because they don't want to either notice or prove any such thing. Republicans in government have shown themselves quite cowardly about not pursuing various transgressions by Saint Obama and Co, so it seems like a hall-pass for the media to ignore them entirely).

It is thus difficult to see what worse tricks Mueller or any replacement could pull in an attempt to get something on Trump, though I guess there is quite a lot of other things in the Constitution still waiting to be violated. Now maybe there is nothing of any use to Trumps enemies in such data, but I think it would be a very unusual businessman or politician who had no potentially embarrassing revelations at all in private communications with their lawyer. Trump is probably fortunate in that his political background and history is so limited that there may be no 'political' skeletons in the closet, but I would expect there must be some financial skeletons related to his business activities. Again, I bet very few businessmen in Trump's position would come up smelling of roses when put under the microscope, and this is how they are doggedly attempting to unearth something to get him with.

Trump himself seems to have been remarkably sanguine about all these dirty tricks against him that have emerged in recent weeks. While it seems like the sensible thing to do, it doesn't seem to be in his character to take such things lying down, IMO. As I have heard it explained, he could fire Mueller on a whim tomorrow, but not stop the investigation(s) itself. I guess that is probably what they are trying to provoke him into doing: to lash out and make it worse for himself politically.

Having said that, I still don't really get when and how these special prosecutions ever get terminated because it seems they can always monkey-branch out into new areas which were not part of the original remit. Perhaps someone could explain it. I get that many Republicans resent Trump as much as Democrats do, which means Trump doesn't have many "deep-state" friends, but I can't see what they hope to gain by allowing this circus to go on interminably: There's probably a lot of voters who might punish Republicans for not doing enough to support the President the voters elected.

Agreed!

With his allegedly "unimpeachable" career and record, Mueller must have assumed that he was going to retire as a National Hero, with the Trump era over and ousted by Christmas 2017.

With his experience, Mueller must be considering that those that tried to stitch up Trump, may include those that stitched him up too, by handing him a poisoned chalice.

Either Trump has been listening to Legal Advice (contrary to opinions stated as facts by his critics) or he has had the sense not to "explode" with rage throughout all the provocation.

Trump still faces cross (?) examination by Mueller. I thnk Mueller may be getting more nervous, as the evidence he started with, has not survived any examination at all. US Government Law Enforcement may be cross examining Mueller before Christmas 2018, but I am sure he will have agreed some form of deal first.

The US Midterm elections are Nov 2018. Surely Mueller can't drag this farce out for another 6 months? I expect many in the FBI can't wait to settle some personal scores aswell. With sections of the upper tiers of the FBI pyramid becoming vacant, there will be many opportunities for promotion based on integrity and loyalty to the US Constitution.

According to Dan Bongino's summary (!?) - he does go on a bit... mostly with good cause and relevant detail.

Mueller's zeal to find something, anything - has taken him (accidentally it would seem) into at least two unexpected areas where it's reasonable to assume that they went searching for one thing and umm... found stuff that they didn't want but which they absolutely cannot ignore.

It might yet turn out that the Trump -Russia collusion investigation ends up doing more direct damage to the instigators than to the targets of the investigation. The pawns are falling.

Kanye West, the rap superstar who stunned the left by declaring President Trump "his brother," has better reasons than might be imagined for defying Hollywood and going over to the red side: he dealt with President Obama up close.

What he found – and has now revealed – is that Obama was an incredibly selfish jerk.

Trump aides hire Israeli intelligence freelancers to dig dirt on Obamah staff... ?

HERE

I note it doesn't say that the Obamah folk weren't up to no good - and as yet - nobody's been named....

There seem to be quite a lot of intelligence mercenaries plying their trade at the moment.

There was a very clear shift in US Foreign Policy under Obama, away from Israel. Presumably St Hillary would have continued?

I don't know whether any Israeli Intelligence/Mossad Operatives have ever "defected" to work for the opposition?

If former or serving Israeli Officers were dirt-digging on Democrats, it may have been in the interests of Israel.

Under Trump, US Foreign Policy has shifted back towards Israel. What Obama's longer term plans were for peace in the Middle East including Israel, have not been revealed, yet. But Trump's are different.

Meanwhile in the UK, New Old Labour and Old New Labour seem to have got themselves into a mess about attitudes towards Jews and Israel.

Israel depends on money from abroad, and Politicians in the US and UK have benefitted from Jewish financial support. I don't know about the Member States of the EU, but the legacy of Soros et al "Progressives" is looking messy for all.

Obama may be questioned, but not by Mueller.

Mueller may be questioned, about his terms of reference, and who he was acting for. Mueller is sticking to his terms of reference, which do not include Team Obama/Clinton.
