that kind of depends .... if Nellie is still on the CIA gubbermint payroll there are sanctions that can be applied for Nellie not showing up if invited. If I recall correctly her 5th amendment rights are different as a Federal employee - I thought the 5th was a universal thing in the USA but I've read a couple of things that claim there are exceptions.

I love the idea that she's some kind of stamp collecting radio ham....

Oliver North became President of the NRA.

Someone could create virtual stamp collecting via radio, for Nellie to preside over, where ever she is holed up, and for how ever long

One must assume that Nellie is being invited for a bit of theater - if they know what questions to ask - then they must have some corroborating evidence to support those questions - so why not just ask them in a public statement and let the media do the digging? ..... ah .... I think I see the flaw in that.

If as rumored Nellie has more than one steerable satellite dish in her garden, works for the CIA (and FusionGPS) and speaks Russian fluently it is pretty easy to imagine she's been up to more than collecting QSL cards.

Would that show up on Google Earth?

Someone ought to compile a list of questions, that SHOULD be asked, complete with alternative supplementary questions, depending on the previously agreed answers, to the previously agreed questions.

Google Earth?

in theory yes ... in practice - likely not....

The questions that might be asked huh?

Sometimes the pols are well researched + get it right - rather too often though we witness the sort of debacle that was the questioning of George Galloway a few years back.

I hope that some people closer to this preps the pols if/when Nellie shows up..

What's all this blathering about James Bond's autogyro?

had to think about that - not bad - a bit of welcome levity in what's become something of a trudge :-)

Supertroll, Nellie will have to perform well, to compete with James Bond's report:

"Little Nelly got a hot reception. Four big shots made improper advances toward her, but she defended her honour with great success"

tomo, if it is to be a race to the plea-bargain-basement cell before the November 2018 mid-Terms, so be it. They won't reach their destination this year, but may draw many others down too.

The “alleged FBI confidential source” is Christopher Steele, the former MI6 spy who was hired to produce the controversial dossier on then-candidate Donald Trump.

Anyone who believes Steele was working as a "former" MI6 spy is not keeping up.

Why was Steele so "desperate" to "stop Trump"?

His personal business plan, depended on him providing to those paying him, what they wanted. He would have had access to sources with the same motivation, though some may have had their own agenda too.

The likes of Steele have always offered their former employers some distance and therefore "plausible deniability".

Why were his paymasters so desperate to stop Trump? FusionGPS accounts should reveal sources of money, but if they don't?

The US Electorate is entitled to know whether all FBI Confidential Sources are as disreputable, unreliable, and unworthy of trust, as Steele.

Trump probably knows already

A perspective on the SCOTUS business

This side of the pond it would seem that the cultural Marxists are intent on intimidating those who challenge them

I've not seen anything to suggest Steele was doing anything other freelancing. A retired British security-services employee on the make. I'm still surprised at how seriously he was treated. Three or four steps removed from Clinton, he was the guy who "knew" somebody in Russia. Somebody who was almost certainly even more keen to provide a (ridiculous bu tentertaining) story in exchange for hard currency.

If Steele was really selling current information from sources still close to the Kremlin then the British services would surely lay the smack down on him. There would be nothing worse for them than US security services thinking their British counterparts had become so leaky. UK spying is incredibly dependent on the US and their technology network. A master-slave relationship, almost.

it seems to already be uncontested that some of the operators of the snoop on DJT and associates were from Cheltenham - if only for momentarily circumventing some inconvenient legalities in the matter of surveillance of US citizens. Steele wasn't the only UK asset working - Mifsud and Halper are two others and it seems very likely that Steele's Orbis business partner Chris Burrows has an interest .....

I do not believe that Burrows and Steele were operating entirely outside official channels and the sudden resignation of GCHQ head (vs a managed transition) still looks a bit odd - did Orbis have their old clearances still in place?. The fact the Democrat linked Fusion GPS were purportedly accessing US (NSA) intelligence network assets to track Trump players doesn't look good.

This all seems to be working near the top floor of the intelligence community USA-wise and very, very obviously some of the players were not applying tests that would be expected as a source is developed upwards from field ops... - one has to wonder if something similar was going on over here.

Busloads of lefties heading in from all points to "resist" at the SCOTUS hearing tomorrow apparently.

That's probably not going to go down well with a lot of people - it seems likely that a certain Hungarian gent might well be funding it too - I wonder how many have been recruited via Craigslist and if there's any videographers from James O'Keefe's crew in there.

The Dossier Team
Even after several testimonies and investigative reports, the composition of the dossier team is still shrouded in secrecy. When Glenn Simpson testified on November 8th and 14th in front of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, he was vague and evasive about the names of the people that worked on the document and just said that he hired Steele, who then:

“Use[d] his old contacts and farmed out other research to native Russian speakers who made phone calls on his behalf“.

Two of these “native Russian speakers” were subsequently identified as Nellie Ohr and Edward Baumgartner. But even after this revelation, there are still many unanswered questions about this team. For example, what was the organizational structure of their network? How and where was the raw intelligence collected, stored, and transmitted? Or, how was Steele, a private British national living in England able to so quickly and effectively reach top US politicians like McCain and Pelosi, publish through and get full backing from media outlets like Yahoo, NYT and WaPo, and gain access to senior officials at the State Department, the DOJ, and FBI?

Before we jump-in, let’s first review our dramatis personæ.

First impression of the contents was that if I had the name Jason Felch, I would do something about changing it!
