I thought on reading this it was an April's Fool article.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2011/mar/31/insects-uk-diet-2020?intcmp=122

But the comments and the 31st Mar date say otherwise.

Really? Is this an April Fools a day early?

That was my first thought too. I have no idea how we will tell the real from the fake headlines tomorrow.

Bish....sent this to Anthony at WUWT, but in case he doesn't spot it, I URGE you to look at and repeat this from JoNova's: http://joannenova.com.au/2011/03/prof-vincent-courtillot-speaks-with-clarity/

It was absolutely RIVETING! Best 30 minutes I've had for years!

BH - I'm not asking this lightly, as I am no fan of censorship. But there are limits.

Any chance you might review comments by 'Pete Ridley' on the 'light blogging' thread with a view to banning him?

Outstanding talk from French scientist. His debunkning of Hockey Team and IPCC in first part is wonderful.

From the Ecclesiastical Uncle, an old retired bureaucrat in a field only remotely related to climate, with minimal qualifications and only half a mind.

Re: my post here at 4.08am today.

I should have started that post with sincere apologies: I have no wish to cause offence to anyone as it does no good.

I now add that I find it deeply ironic that I should have forgotten this.

France ditches carbon tax:

I don't suppose our government will take any notice ...

Bishop, with your permission I will post this here because I think it is not the business of this blog. You will snip if you think it right.

I am sorry I have only just found this.

My point: IMHO, Blair did what he did for emotional, not rational reasons, with consequences that he seems to have made little proper effort to forecast. Merely an example of what I deplore so much in our politicians, like adherence to CAGW.

I hope I shall not be tempted to reply to any further contributions on this matter

You have to laugh at this one from the greenest government.

My wife works for a local authority in Wales. She went to work on Monday to find that all below desk waste bins had been removed, and received instructions that all waste had to be taken to a recycling point on each floor. In the case of my wife, a walk through three seperate offices for a total of 150m. Where recycling bins had been situated to receive paper, plastic, cans etc. Much hilarity ensued when the office wag walked the distance carrying a staple removed from a document prior to copying, then returned to her work station.

The solution - the staff now have a Tesco bag on the floor under their desks, and take their rubbish home and deposit in their domestic bins.

LMFAO
