We asked if protesters who chant "from the river to the sea" could name the river.…

…they couldn't🤦‍♂️

Seems to cover much of the protestors.....

Marc Morano is reporting the Mann v Steyn in person by the look of it.

Robert Swan replies to Mark Hodgson, " Thanks. It will be interesting to see how the case progresses. I have a feeling it'll be anticlimactic (would prefer anticlimatic). "

Mark Hodgson,

Thanks. It will be interesting to see how the case progresses. I have a feeling it'll be anticlimactic (would prefer anticlimatic).

tomo,
It might be a new thing for Porsche, not a brand usually associated with buyer's remorse. On EVs, a friend of mine says he's thinking of buying one (not a Porsche). I told him it was fine to *think* about it. He got my drift.

At least the restaurant is being explicit about the charge. Thing is, we're already paying "greenhouse" charges in more expensive transport and electricity, which pervade everything else.

A "virtual Joe" would only be an incremental change from the present one — akin to George Lucas going from model-based to CGI special effects — you get a higher quality fake.

Enjoyed this discussion on Australia's "No" to the Voice referendum. Hadn't heard of Helen Dale, but she's good at explaining things. Looking at her website, this article caught my eye. It gives her rationale why Hamas can be viewed as even worse than the Nazis (essentially because the Nazis, by and large, were at pains to hide their atrocities; Hamas apparently has no shame. Interesting thought, though I see social media being a pretty big confounding factor).

And in comments to that article was this link to an Arnold Kling item on his personal experience of Gaza when he visited in 1980. Mailman's objections to my opinion would probably apply to Kling's closing paragraph too

That said, I cannot hate the typical residents of Gaza. I see them as a tragic people. No one has ever given them humanitarian treatment. My view is that in recent years the main benefactor of Gaza has been Iran, which only wants to use Gazans as cannon fodder in a proxy war against Israel.
Comments there are good too, especially the first.

With lots of people mentioning that Hamas was "democratically elected" by the Palestinians, often with a therefore they deserve all they get, I wonder how many such commenters think Mugabe (back in the day) was democratically elected. Or Biden.

I get the impression that Biden's peeps would love a virtual Joe

Robert,

Mann's legal case against Steyn et al is finally coming on to trial:

What strikes me with all this "spectrum" malarkey is that the real spectrum is continuous, but the LGB... stuff is all about putting people into specific categories. Another case of my personal difficulties with doublethink (banned by inclusivity rules, access blocked by freedom of information rules, etc.) Maybe, in another decade or two, I'll gin-scented-tearfully realise that I love Big Brother.

One point of mild amusement in that "hydrogen colour spectrum" bilge is that they've put "black" at the ungood end of the spectrum. They'll be getting into trouble with the skin colour obsessives.

The Greta one was pretty well done. The H2 effort is like a not-yet-polished mission statement: commendably vague and not worth polishing.

Watched A Climate Conversation which was linked at that Friends of Science site. Pretty well presented sceptical views which might be good for the not yet committed.

I see Friends of Science has been going a long time. My not knowing about it probably reflects my insular ways. My regular stops these days are Jo Nova, Judith Curry and here.

Hmmm. I was about to say that the site I missed most was ClimateAudit. Thought I'd take a look in and the first new article in years was posted a couple of days ago. It's not by McIntyre, and was written in 2018, but not published. Still relevant because of Mann's endless court (in)action. Unfortunately it's mainly on legal matters; it was the mathematical stuff I liked at CA.
