'Tiny the Turbine'
It might not look like it has been a busy summer but I've been beavering away on a follow up to the Subisdy Sam story produced earlier in the year. Today we are launching 'Tiny the Turbine' written by Lyndsey Ward and illustrated by me.
Lyndsey writes:
Tiny the Turbine is a story that really is for children. Following Subsidy Sam’s release it was clear that there was a need for something that would help children understand the negative impacts of large scale wind developments. Happily Josh agreed and we have worked together to produce this second story specifically for children. Subsidy Sam is a dark tale but Tiny the Turbine is a moral and uplifting story and shows that it is possible to succeed in fighting against the bad things in life no matter how daunting it may seem.
If you head over to this page on the Cartoons by Josh website you can download the story and, if you haven't yet, donate something - all funds greatly appreciated - please share on social media and generally spread the word - that would also be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks,

Well done Lyndsey and Josh. What is needed now is to get it into the hands of children.
That should be simple – just tell them they should keep well away from it.
A Highland cow, hint hint.
Tiny looks like a cross between a pimpernel and a pixie. It must be magic because it spins even though shielded by a big tree.
The ending with the tank spoils the story completely. The evil windfarmers, supported by greens and stupid politicians should have won, thereby leaving the reader reader to ask: "Mommy, why do you not do to stop this?"
Lyndsey and Josh thank you for your hard work.
Niels, Tanks were parked on the lawns of Planning Departments, by professionally mobilised armies of windfarm lobbyists.
Welcome back Bish. Where y'been? Missed you all summer. Thought I'd have to turn Catholic.
Welcome back, y'all....!
I was beginning to think My pooter was stuck in June 2016.....
(Mind you, the Corbyn story has still got legs....)
Anyone care to comment on the sad demise of the Department of Energy and Climate Change..??
Whatever next - repeal of the Climate Change Act..?
And while I'm at it - what about our athletes..?? WOOHOO.....
I guess that "competitive" sport crap is here to stay! Sportsmen & women will have to compete with each other!
I do hear that if you blow hard enough, you can tell the time from the number of puffs it takes to make a windmill's blades break off.
Altogether now.........
NCC 1701E. I think you need dragons for that, and Puff doesn't live by our sea any more.
Agreed ACK: PUFF is now an Officer in the Metropolitan Police, monitoring Twitter for LBGT-pejorative comments.........
Allegedly.......
Hey Alya (halo be her name) the minions have nothing to do. Are you on holiday too? What is your highly valued opinion of this scurrilous piece of propagandist drivel? Please mind your language, youngens may read it.
NCC 1701E. No wonder PUFF and the plod are getting nowhere, endlessly typing in LBGT (large bloody gin and tonic?) instead of LGBT.
OK ACK: TBLG
Ncc 1701e. Wot I do - Tablet BLoGging.
ACKnowldged........
acK, it is aYLa n0T aLYa
GC you are right, it's been so long since we had communication that confusion reigned in this minion's memory. I'm sure the message will get through.
@ NCC 1701E
You might have inadvertently hit on a solution to one of the biggest problems associated with wind power - what to do when the wind is not blowing. The solution has been staring us in the face on the time. If everybody goes to their nearest wind turbine and blows hard then our combined puff should be enough to ensure that electricity generation continues!
@Roy: simple: have a row of bidirectional windmills from the Speaker's chair parallel to the front benches in the House of Commons. Poor old Bercow will have to blow on alternate sides, but that might even up his biased from of politics, so is a Good Thing.
NCC 1701E. Re House of Commons windfarm. Useless place to put windmills. Most of the time the place is nearly empty, and during the few times it is full - prime ministers question time - the windbags are so voluble that the turbines would have to be turned off. A few even, throw their arms about, catch fire and have to be extinguished by the Speaker.
The House of Lords windfarm, on the other hand, contains quite a few blowhards and even a few bishops.
Now there's an idea ACK; downwelling longwave radiation in the HoL can be captured by keeping the doors open and using synchronised arm movements to force all that hot air though turbines in the roof. Such equipment seems already to have been installed in Portcullis House.........
NNC 1701E. Still needs more work. Excessive ermine curtails arm flapping and that sounds suspiciously like work The high and mighty have no need of downwelling longwave radio, they watch themselves on the Parliament Station, courtesy of the Sky platform. Believe Portcullis House roof architecture designed to repel killer bees (my grandson told me this when he was five).
OK ACK, does this mean that next time I meet Her Maj, I have to address her as 'Your Hiveness'?
I'll bee off; now where's my coat?
Thank you, I loved the cartoon. It actually helped me write a school essay on how busy was my summer. I'm not a good writer so I got my paper reviewed by https://essay-reviews.com/essaypro-review to get a good mark. Your animation really inspired me!
