Why would Hilary Clinton get a full Botox job?
Mar 9, 2020 at 7:25 AM tomo
To increase her appeal to younger women?
Politically, should she reveal any intention to run for office, there are going to be many angry Democrats, and many others frightened about the consequences for themselves.
Team Sanders still blames her for defeating Bernie and gifting The White House to Trump. They will unleash the dirt that they have, and this may be matched by dirt thrown up elsewhere, including those on the Government payroll at risk of losing their liberty, not just their jobs and pensions.
Pelosi has blown her authority as a Democrat "Leader", which just leaves Obama. His personal archives may contain a substantial collection of St Hillary's dirty exploits, but some of them may implicate him.
As Team Trump is now starting to instigate Legal Actions, there is no reason to suppose that more won't follow during 2020, and for the four following years if successful.
Trump said he didn't want to see St Hillary jailed, but it would be wrong for him to interfere with Law Enforcement doing what Law Enforcement are supposed to do.
It isn't difficult to understand how TDS Level 6 is achieved - but still, impressive.
An apology from one of Google's fleet of political operators
Not a good look really....
I see the DNC trying to crown Biden and reduce his attack surface by deploying coronavirus.

It does seem that the Democrats are going to end up with Biden to avoid Sanders, and they need to choose Obama to avoid Hillary as VP to have any chance against Trump.
gc
Sanders isn't "in" with the DNC gang of crooks and he's got the AOC crowd (and worse) backing him - and he's an endless source of idiotic suggestions... In a sane world .... Biden is going to implode.
I see that US commentators are finally starting to notice Nancy's wobbling dentures, Schumer's getting a bit erratic too....
The Democratic Party leadership is a shit-show. The Dems have some capable people but those people are being pushed away by the controlling cabal.
They do seem to have ended up with the two candidates that should have been eliminated first.
DJT doesn't look well.....
"After thinking for a long time if and what to write about what is happening to us, I felt that the silence was not at all responsible. I will therefore try to convey to people more distant from our reality, what we are experiencing in Bergamo during these pandemic days from Covid-19."I myself looked with some amazement at the reorganization of the entire hospital in the previous week, when our current enemy was still in the shadows: the wards slowly 'emptied,' the elective activities interrupted, the intensive therapies freed to create as many beds as possible. All this rapid transformation brought into the corridors of the hospital an atmosphere of surreal silence and emptiness that we still did not understand, waiting for a war that was yet to begin and that many (including me) were not so sure would ever come with such ferocity.
"Well, the situation is now nothing short of dramatic. No other words come to mind. The war has literally exploded, and the battles are uninterrupted day and night. One after the other, the unfortunate people come to the emergency room. What they have is much more than the complications of a flu. Let's stop saying it's a bad flu.
"Now, however, that need for beds in all its drama has arrived. One after another, the departments that had been emptied are filling up at an impressive rate. The display boards with the names of the sick, of different colors depending on the operating unit they belong to, are now all red and instead of the surgical operation there is the diagnosis, which is always the damn same: bilateral interstitial pneumonia. Now, tell me which flu virus causes such a rapid tragedy?
"An epidemiological disaster is taking place. There are no more surgeons, urologists, orthopedists, we are only doctors who suddenly have become part of a single team to face this tsunami that has overwhelmed us."
On March 11, U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced a 30-day ban on continental Europeans traveling to the United States. "The European Union failed to take the same precautions and restrict travel from China and other hotspots," Trump said. "As a result, a large number of new clusters in the United States were seeded by travelers from Europe." The restrictions, which will go into effect at midnight on March 13, will not apply to the United Kingdom, and exemptions will be made for U.S. citizens. "This is the most aggressive and comprehensive effort to confront a foreign virus in modern history," he said.

@GOPChairwoman
THREAD.
Since Democrats in Congress keep attacking @realDonaldTrump
, let's compare records.
JAN 7:
CDC established a coronavirus incident management system, two days before China announced the outbreak.
Pelosi began Week 3 of withholding her sham impeachment articles. (1/8)

The prominent Dems are mostly a TDS shit-show - the leadership has got so consumed / obsessed / inflamed with DJT that they simply aren't paying attention to the rest of the world - at all.
The way that they and their media stooges work DJT into simply everything is weirdly fascinating and the capacity of activist "progressives" to believe in the "DJT is Beelzebub" mantras which they endlessly embroider is getting quite tiresome.
Is Trump Right About the CDC?
John wonders below whether Trump is right in his criticism this morning of the CDC. There is good reason to think he is. Ron Bailey explains over at Reason in a typically bracing piece, “How Government Red Tape Stymied Testing and Made the Coronavirus Epidemic Worse.”

Ha!
Trump just drafted Google into the virus fight.
Is Trump Right About the CDC?
If so, it would be the only thing he has got right.
2 years ago he disbanded a WH office specifically tasked with responding to pandemics.
I don't know anything about that
In the crucial early stages of the outbreak in the US, Trump sought to downplay the seriousness of the epidemic first describing it as a 'hoax' and making a series of simply wrong statements, just when clear and accurate information and effective leadership might have saved lives. The administration turned down an offer of German-made testing kits leading to a shortage, again just when an effective testing regime could have saved lives, as has happened elsewhere. Trump lied about this, saying that everyone entering the country from an affected country was being tested, and anyone who wanted a test could have one, neither of which were remotely true and recently he informed us that:
I don’t take responsibility at all.
"It's going to disappear. One day it's like a miracle, it will disappear, from our shores, you know, it could get worse before it gets better. Could maybe go away. We'll see what happens. Nobody really knows."
"Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away. I hope that’s true"
"I think every aspect of our society should be prepared. I don’t think it’s going to come to that, especially with the fact that we’re going down, not up. We’re going very substantially down, not up. And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done."
His televised address was a disaster - even reading from a script he got important details wrong. He was unclear about exempting American citizens and permanent residents from the travel ban, leading to crowds congregating in enclosed spaces at many European airports, spending tens of thousands of dollars for flights. On the ban he stated 'these prohibitions will not only apply to the tremendous amount of trade and cargo, but various other things as we get approval', when cargo flights - worth billions in transatlantic trade - were actually exempted, and he wrongly stated insurance companies had agreed to waive copayments for treatment.
Designed to reassure, Donald's reverse Midas touch kicked in and the markets tanked, the biggest one-day loss in three decades.
That was the most expensive speech in history.
"Now they have it, they have studied it, they know very much, in fact, we’re very close to a vaccine"
A vaccine will take a minimum of a year to develop and trial, too long to be of any use for this outbreak. On Friday, just three weeks after his 'going substantially down ... close to zero' claim, Trump declared the outbreak a National Emergency, finally releasing funds to address the crisis something like adequately.
In normal times, Trumpian lies are a source of mirth, in an emergency they are rather more consequential.

Presumably you are celebrating the travel bans and increased death rates normally associated with Climate Scientists that are occurring due to Coronavirus?
A new low, GC.
It is instructive I feel to look at Hong Kong for pointers to how to deal with coronavirus.
They do not trust the ChiComs - even though they are notionally a province.... The anti infection provisions on the land border are, from what I've seen (and been told by HK-ers) a permanent fixture. (The near annual waves of winter bugs from China drive the actions at the border) HK effectively shut the border in January. - and more - see the wikipedia piece linked.
If there is any finger pointing about how the virus has been handled by governments - the ChiComs are several streets ahead of everybody - they downplayed , hid evidence and obstructed investigations and irresponsibly in my view did little to attenuate international travel.
Anybody who didn't follow HK's lead only has themselves to blame - 21st century travel means that everywhere is next door - talking of travel.... Cathay are added some flights yesterday
Western governments have failed us. We pay literally billions to have diplomats and spies around the world and they failed to get information from China.... compounding that by ignoring what an informed neighbour of China was telling them and actions said neighbour took to mitigate the effect of the virus.
Trying to pin Wuhan coronavirus on DJT is just TDS on stilts with elevator heels. There are lessons to be learned in this business - border health controls matter and don't put all your eggs in one basket will do for starters.
The Trump plague
Nobody is alleging Trump and Team Trump are the cause of the crisis, but they have not exactly covered themselves in glory with their slow, late, dishonest and shambolic response.
This is an unmitigated disaster that the administration has brought upon the population, and I don’t say this lightly. We have had a much worse response than Iran, than Italy, than China and South Korea
Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute.
A country with no real public health system, and inadequate capacity in the private system (the shortfall in ICU beds is estimated at > 2 million), desperately needs clearsighted, competent, trustworthy leadership.
Which is demonstrably the opposite of what they have been getting.
Phil
Hong Kong - do some "research" - hint : The Guardian"CiF" doesn't count.
Near annual "plagues" from China are an arithmetic certainty / fact of life. If you live on the doorstep you take precautions. *Everybody* is on China's doorstep thanks to air travel.
The folk who should've called the alarm are the officials + bureaucrats who are purportedly tasked with monitoring and evaluating the appearance and progress of novel and dangerous infections. After this episode it's clear that all flights from obstructive regimes like China must be instantly suspended unless they volunteer 100% transparency.
Near everybody's been caught off guard with this business - in large part because the ChiComs were not candid about what they had..... Heaven forbid that it was a hemorrhagic fever virus with enhanced transmissability eh? I wonder how Dr. Jha arrived at the opinion the US response was worse than Iran? - any ideas?
as an aside - what's your take on Pelosi and crew boffing some abortion funding into the coronavirus response bill?

Has Mann released another science and maths busting report? Or is it Gergis again? Or just another Hockey Teamster?
Why would Hilary Clinton get a full Botox job?
Elsewhere - Devin Nunes interview yesterday (that Twitter are blocking) fwiw Nunes is also suing CNN for defamation - some details in the interview.
The bold lies thrown out by CNN (and others) need to have consequences.
