Discussion > President Trump

The S&P stock index reaches an all-time high of 30,000. Trump briefly emerges from the bunker to claim credit.

But stock prices are largely a forward-looking indicator - what investors think are the future prospects for profitability. Which means this is actually a market vote of confidence for JB. The index is up 7% since the election.

Nov 4 9:00 pm- new boxes of ballots arrive in Detroit. Computer operators manually added the names to the QVF and EVERY ballot was given the SAME birthday: Jan 1, 1990. Eyewitness “was told that this was the instruction that came down from the Wayne County Clerk’s office.”

As I wade through piles and piles of unsupported dross here, dross now contaminating Cliscep and totally enveloping Jo Novas blog, I wonder. If all these claims of gross malfeasance during the November 3 presidential election are true (and the vast majority would have to be to overturn the large deficits Trump has in total votes and electoral votes) then it seems we must conclude two things. First, the Democrats have been exceedingly clever in that they conducted the electoral fraud so well that even when detected by Republicans this could not be demonstrated to judges to their satisfaction (even to judges appointed by Trump). Second, what does this incompetency reveal about the Republicans? New claims are still appearing weeks after the election - where have they been hiding? And guess what, they appear first on Twitter. ON TWITTER! There’s a clue there.

Of course there is a much simpler explanation... Strange that such clever people who can independently discern the truth about climate change fall for partisan propaganda.

Nevada ...

A Casino is a legitimate home address for voter registration? I'd laugh it the tally of registered voters at casinos exceeds the number of rooms....

The Trump campaign demanded recounts in two Wisconsin counties, at a cost to them of $3 million.

The first county, Milwaukee, just reported and Trump has gained 125 votes. But Joe Biden gained 257 increasing his lead by 132 votes.

Money well spent.

PS Not a good look.

Dominion voting machines burn rather well according to the BBC

❗ This claim about election fraud is disputed ❗

A September 2020 study revealed that 353 U.S. counties in 29 states had 1.8M more registered voters than eligible voting-age citizens. In other words, the registration rates of those counties exceeded 100% of eligible voters.

An interesting analysis.

[C]onsider some facts. President Trump received more votes than any previous incumbent seeking re-election. He got 11 million more votes than in 2016, the third largest rise in support ever for an incumbent. By way of comparison, President Obama was comfortably re-elected in 2012 with 3.5 million fewer votes than he received in 2008.

[…]

He earned the highest share of all minority votes for a Republican since 1960. Trump grew his support among black voters by 50 percent over 2016. Nationally, Joe Biden’s black support fell well below 90 percent, the level below which Democratic presidential candidates usually lose.

Trump increased his share of the national Hispanic vote to 35 percent. With 60 percent or less of the national Hispanic vote, it is arithmetically impossible for a Democratic presidential candidate to win Florida, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. Bellwether states swung further in Trump’s direction than in 2016. Florida, Ohio and Iowa each defied America’s media polls with huge wins for Trump. Since 1852, only Richard Nixon has lost the electoral college after winning this trio, and that 1960 defeat to John F. Kennedy is still the subject of great suspicion.

[…]

We are told that Biden won more votes nationally than any presidential candidate in history. But he won a record low of 17 percent of counties; he only won 524 counties, as opposed to the 873 counties Obama won in 2008. Yet, Biden somehow outdid Obama in total votes.

Here is another interesting link.

It would appear that Biden is getting the returns that are usually reserved for despotic regimes, where an “opposition” is allowed, but only for show.

Counties are an irrelevance. They vary in population from 10 million (LA County) to 623 (Grant County, Neb), the large number of small rural counties mean the total is always skewed Republican. In 2016 Trump won 2626 counties versus 487 for Clinton, I don't recall anyone finding this odd. You might expect a pollster to know that, but then Patrick Basham's claims are politely described as ' weak in terms of their accuracy'.

A crashed server in Georgia?

Would that be the Georgia that conducted the largest ever hand recount, and certified Joe Biden's 5-figure majority a week ago?

Almost nothing that the Trump team has alleged has withstood the slightest scrutiny. In particular, it’s hard to find much that is remotely true in the president’s Twitter feed these days. It is full of already-debunked claims and crackpot conspiracy theories about Dominion voting systems. Over the weekend, he repeated the charge that 1.8 million mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania were mailed out, yet 2.6 million were ultimately tallied. In a rather elementary error, this compares the number of mail-ballots requested in the primary to the number of ballots counted in the general. A straight apples-to-apples comparison finds that 1.8 million mail-in ballots were requested in the primary and 1.5 million returned, while 3.1 million ballots were requested in the general and 2.6 million returned.

Flawed and dishonest assertions like this pollute the public discourse and mislead good people who make the mistake of believing things said by the President of the United States.

That's the National Review, people. They're right, Trump's twitter feed is the funniest thing on the internet right now.

Bonus: Here's more from the AP Interview with Bill Barr

There’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results. And the DHS and DOJ have looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that

Farewell Donald. Don't let the door smack you on the ass on your way out.

There’s a slow train coming, and it’s bearing down on Donald; inexorably, like the tide. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Only the lawyers remain on deck, scrambling to reclaim critical races.
Desperation runs down their faces.

There’s been cheating! Cheating by the ballot, cheating by the mallet. Cheating by the score.

Darkest deeds by dead of night. The evidence is in plain sight.

It’s Brazil, and dead Chavez, covert ops in the old world, China.
Global elites plot a reset of the furniture.

But wait! There is a light. It shines at the end of that tunnel.
Then all will make sense.
When Rudy finally presents, his evidence.

Dec 2, 2020 at 4:27 AM | Unregistered CommenterBrendan H

LMAO.

Yep. Guiliani has all the evidence. We know this because the President of the United States just retweeted a post from someone going by the name of Cat Turd.

Dec 2, 2020 at 9:26 AM | Unregistered CommenterPhil Clarke

Clearly, there are two classes of evidence, let us call them Types 1 and 2.

Type 1 is enough to demonstrate the Trump in fact won the election, that bipartisan election officials, observers, auditors, secretaries of state, Governors and technicians conspired to orchestrate a massive transfer of votes to Biden using compromised voting machines invented by Hugo Chavez. Or something. This type is suitable for presenting on twitter or say, a hotel meeting rooms or the car park of a garden centre.

Type 2 is that which can be presented in court, under oath and on pain of perjury. This type must be caveated along the lines of 'we are not alleging fraud at this time.'

Type 2 is not doing as well as Type 1, 39 lawsuits dismissed versus 1 inconsequential win. But Type 1 has so far netted the Donald $150 million, which may come in handy sometime soon.

PS I won!

tomo: ‘Nope, no sirree - nothing to see here’

According to this report: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/dec/04/facebook-posts/no-georgia-election-workers-didnt-kick-out-observe/

• There was never an instruction for observers to leave
• There were no suitcases full of ballots. The bins in the video were standard ballot containers, and the footage shows what officials described as the normal tabulation process.

In other words, all in a day’s work.

So, duelling evidences. I don’t think there’s going to be much persuading either way, so I’ll leave it there.

As a general comment, the timeline of this saga seems to have developed in a certain way: from initial suspicion of mail-in ballots, to worries about electronic cheating, to truckloads of fake ballots speeding through the night, and now ‘suitcases’ full of them, a la counterfeit money.

You could argue that the timeline is simply a result of the way the various election elements rolled out, and the normal speeds and types of communication, as people remember things that seemed suspicious at the time, or do in hindsight.

On the other hand, you could argue that as people read up about and view alleged instances of cheating, they become habituated to suspicion and start reading nefarious intent into otherwise innocuous, everyday actions.

My answer is probably obvious, so I’ll leave it at that.

At this point, it’s hard to tell which part(s) of the above saga will prevail – perhaps all of them, although that would be a long and winding tale.

Dec 5, 2020 at 4:19 AM | Unregistered CommenterBrendan H

They told the observers to leave so they could commit voter fraud in front of a camera livestreaming the whole thing

Wow. I'm convinced.
