Discussion > President Trump
Man resigns from the worst job in the world

This is what the piece concluded with:
"That'll be something I'd be willing to do, certainly, getting out and talking about the good work the Trump administration is doing on these issues," he said. "I will be out, but I don't plan to make a career out of being a pundit on TV. ... I'm planning to have a robust law practice."
Schultz said some of the media attention to ethics issues in the Trump administration has been valid because of the complexity of the personal holdings of business-sector veterans joining the Cabinet and other top positions. However, some of that concern has been exaggerated and distorted, he said."
If only Clinton had associated with honest Lawyers.
On the one hand OMG!, on the other is anyone really surprised? He was careful not to be overtly racist during the campaign, I guess he feels he can do what the * he likes now ...

Not a good day for Trump apologists.
But Phil. It's all FAKE NEWS about FAKE NEWS. Don't two negatives multiplied together produce positive news? Who knew, no one here.
"Time for a fresh Triump thread, now that the man is in office. There is bound to be much to discuss".

Much to discuss yes, but probably not here now at this Trump love-in.
I see that the BBC have been linking Trump's tweets with the Lynne and Megan Russell murders.
I also see that the web editors are NOT presenting that content to web site visitors from North American IP addresses (i.e. The Wayback Machine)
Class, that....eh?
Gosh. All I can find is the BBC reporting that the newspaper headlines are Trump's tweets and the Russell Murders. This must constitute the bottom molecules of the anti-BBC barrel.
I see Trump is encouraging Climate Scientists to pursue alternative careers, with the wealth and experience they have accumulated at taxpayers expense.
There must be enough to monitor the ever increasing polar bear numbers on a one-2-one basis, to ensure they are feeding. It would also help to save the seals.
Displacement activity Gwen?
Supertroll, it would certainly displace a few Climate Scientists, to an area they could serve a useful purpose.
Trump sends a Tweet, and the Progressive media relay it all around the world to those of us who don't tweet. The savings to the US Taxpayer must be huge.
Bypassing the Swamp, renders many of them surplus to their employers requirements, but the swamp dwellers have not yet figured this out.
Supertroll
I personally didn't care for the Trump re-tweets as the the provenance (as in the actual videos - nb - not who'd previously tweeted them) looked a bit murky / off.
However the BBC web "most read" this morning put a 1996 gruesome double murder into the same sub head as DJT's "far right" re-tweets - maybe the two tied exactly for the number of views - but I can't recall an example of a similarly jarring juxtapositioning of content in the "Top Ten". Note the sub head does *not* mention a newspaper review.
So you reckon item 9 is OK and purely accidental then? - and I'm being a thin skinned Trumpy type??
Imagine my surprise when the US version (well, just tailored for a US based IP address ) has *all* the same content apart from different wording on that particular sub head.
No tomo, I input into Google "BBC", "Trump Tweets" and "Russell Murders" and came up with nothing other than BBC's listing of Newspaper headlines. You now criticize the BBC for listing the most read stories - yet another instance of you shooting the messenger. The BBC is not making recommendations.
"I personally didn't care for the Trump re-tweets as the the provenance (as in the actual videos - nb - not who'd previously tweeted them) looked a bit murky / off." That's just a little mild isn't it?
Supertroll
did you look at item 9 screen capture from this morning?
Mild ? ... not really as neither the loony Britain First lady or DJT actually made the videos and there appears to be little doubt that the content is not faked but is misrepresented.
With all the fakery about at the moment - junior web monkeys at the BBC using their position to smear and lob sh1t at folk they personally dislike isn't how I'd expect BBC staff to behave.
It was poorly worded and I over interpreted it through my egregious bias against the BBC who are scupulously honest and virtuous beyond measure ... I am not worthy.
No tomo, when I tried I got message that it was too busy and to try again.
So you are admitting to me that you wrote your 9.32am post upon seeing a no.9 listing that you obviously didn't follow up and read, because there is absolutely no link between Trump's tweets and the murders (other than the stories appearing as headlines in British newspapers). Let's ignore your poor research and move on. But I'll not forget that you seem to find nothing wrong with the head of a friendly state posting obviously damaging materials online, and then saying nothing when our own prime minister is attacked, again on line.
I would have wished to hear from some here responses similar to that of Brendon Cox:
You have a mass shooting every single day in your country, your murder rate is many times that of the UK, your healthcare system is a disgrace, you can’t pass anything through a congress that you control. I would focus on that.
Too much to hope for.
Supertroll & tomo
When I google BBC Trump Climate Change
I get this
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-41868878
Climate change: US report at odds with some in Trump team
it comes with a picture of waves around palm trees and mentions the Marshall Islands
Strange Gwen I get a Barry Myers story with a picture of Trump showing off his rather small hands. I would have much preferred palm trees.
Supertroll, Why has Climate Change caused the shrinkage of Barry's hands, and why is Trump showing them off? It is amazing how the BBC confuses, when Trump is mentioned.
Gwen. You seem to have added your own punctuation. Has today's inclement weather caused you to think about shrinkage, even when it was never mentioned? Good attempt at distraction, nonetheless.
Supertroll, with frost still on the ground from last night, the woodburning stove is doing what it was designed to do. The contents of the woodbasket has shrunk, but nothing else yet.
With some knowledge and experience of Moslem culture from before 9/11, the vast majority of Moslems are suffering the backlash caused by the atrocities of the radicalised ones. Too many on the political left have aligned themselves with Moslem causes and jingoism, without considering the consequences.
Trump has now played the jingo card in return. If people want to play ugly politics, Trump can still win approval from his own electorate, and enjoy doing it.
Supertroll,
The only real response to Brian Cox is to ask him to look where the shootings and murder rates are out of control. They are all within Democrat controlled safe gun zones (ie. where citizens don't have the right to defend themselves).
Also the claim that health services in America are a farce is just that, a liberal left claim. Health services in America are actually pretty damn good, far better than anything the NHS provides. Whats has stunk the system up is The Black Baby Jesus and his dictate that everyone MUST purchase health care!
I mean, whats the point of having health insurance of your excess is tens of thousands of dollars to start with!
Brian Cox, the poster child of the brain dead left.
Mailman
I think you might just be confusing Coxes
Brendan Cox is Jo Cox's widower - a man that has obviously gone through quite a trauma.
That however does not excuse quite a lot of what he says / writes.
Mailman. Your first paragraph is unmitigated rubbish. Murder rates are highest in inner cities where gun carrying and knife possession is at its highest. Nor is it so confined. I lived in Northern California in a small wealthy community (Porches were second cars) for two years. During that short time there were two murders by insiders.
Health Services in the USA are great if you have insurance, especially if provided by the company you work for. But if you don't have insurance or money....not so good. In fact almost third world standard.
The USA is commonly held up as the gold standard. In reality it's rather tarnished. I missed certain things about the USA but preferred to live in Canada and especially in the UK.
tomo. Do you need an excuse for what you write? If anyone has an excuse to oppose Britain First with every fibre of his being it is Brendan Cox.
fyi
Gert Bastian (auf Deutsch) - Google translate works.
Wonder why it doesn't make it into English Wikipedia - the Stasi had quite a stable of actual agents and "agents of influence" - many of whom it would appear still stay in touch....
