The old adage about "absolute power" going to people's heads seems to apply in spades in this case - if there's the possibility to see exactly what the opposition is doing and exactly what they're saying - resisting the impulse to follow the minutiae of your opponents activities must be near irresistible. I wonder at the amount of paranoia this has engendered among senior democrats and ex Obamah appointees...
I wonder if Evelyn Farcas is the only official to have blundered mentioning the extents of surveillance?

The Memo had very little evidence, if any, to procecute anyone, but it does set out the intended direction.

There's likely a few people from Mitt Romney's 2012 team that are now wondering if they were an open book for BHO.
Actual evidence is as you say is mostly MIA at the moment - the communications intercepts would have been relatively easy to counter - the idea that surveillance extended to the planting of listening devices does not seem far fetched - given the admiral's style of approach and the campaign's office move.
Going back a few years - there was obviously a fairly major fall out between BHO and Rahm Emmanuel around the 2012 election - I'm wondering about "Foxtrot Oscar we don't need you any more" .....

Indeed I did, but then I didn't consider that to be grounds for high office. I also failed to mention "outright lies on almost every subject" and "sexual assault allegations" . But he's against America's involvement in the climate change nonsense, so, overall, a "good ol' boy".

allegations - it used to be innocent until proven guilty. The problem is that liberals have trashed the traditional culture to the point where boundaries are undefined, so judging the past with the prudery of today, while still rejecting modesty, gives SJW licence to indulge.
I am expecting more than Mann to be found lacking.
Remember to take Trump seriously but not literally: he is indicating the direction of travel, not the exact route.

Diana West wrote a book, called American Betrayal, that describes how Russian operatives 'occupied' Washington from the early 1930s. I have also read reports that the Swamp was invigorated when Bill entered the WH and Bush did little to reduce it, leaving Obama to pick it up again. Along with the Left's hold over Hollywood, the university Humanity, Social Science and minority victimhood departments and the MSM, I would expect there to be a very tangled web to unravel.
It's pointless to guess what has happened and what extent. Now that we have the Memo, I would expect that the action will move from the political to the legal arena, and away from Trump/Russia to Fusion GPS/Russia, and associated 'stars'. :)

It's of note that of the POTUSs you list it's my understanding that Clinton actually dropped the most bombs on Iraq - not something he's particularly known for.

So what exactly are you doing to Obama?
I was gathering the information about what happened on his watch: either knew about it, or should have done.
We don't yet have any hard evidence, so I haven't accused him of anything, only what appears to have happened. If the MSM was half as vigilant with Obama as they are with Trump, we would have a clearer understanding of what occurred, so wouldn't be so intrigued.

There are so many questions about the FISA applications, the Steele dossier and Uranium One, let alone all the stuff we don't know about which, if true, could be worse, much worse.
But will it happen in our lifetime?

Supertroll, there has always been evidence that Trump was no saint in his personal or business life and activities. He is (probably) what would be regarded as a bully, used to getting his own way, preferring to be surrounded by "yes men" (and women), hiring and firing on a whim.
Why did his political opponents, first Republican, then Democrat have to pay outsiders to make stuff up, and then involve and hide behind the FBI, National Security etc? Irrespective of Climate Science, he has shown up the self serving nature of the political establishment, just as Farage has done in the UK, and potentially the EU.
If all Democrats and half the Republicans were against Trump, plus the majority of the media, based on lies, doesn't it confirm how many Americans were fed up with the establishment, just as BREXIT confirmed the UK's feelings towards the EU? In the US and UK, the Establishments are trying to maintain that they were right, as more proof and evidence emerges that they were wrong before, that some of them were active players in the wrongdoing, and many still are?
No time is a good time to get rid of the political establishment, for fear of what may replace it. Those against Trump started it, I hope Trump can finish it with an honest and impartial Department of Justice.
Trump can now make life uncomfortable for prominent Californian Democrats, but a squealing Podesta would probably bring smiles across the States.

Trump wants this to continue rumbling through the Mid Terms, and possibly beyond if he wants to stand again. Once a few arrests are made, if someone squeals, the investigations and prosecutions could go on for years.....
Mann v Steyn could be the least of Mann's worries. This will be of no financial assistance to Steyn, but could end financial assistance to Mann.

from evidence that's already out there at the moment I doubt he can sensibly plead "not guilty" - so if there's a plea bargain to be had I guess the dobbing in of Fusion GPS would be a minimum price to scoot with a fine and maybe a few months in a soft prison.

Trump may have stated that he did not want St Hillary behind bars, but it may not be his decision to prosecute.
That could easily have been a VERY strategic statement! :)
Trump knew a lot, probably much more than we know even now, very early on, because of his contacts.
