a judge that relies so much on his clerks for routine work - and when out of that essentially supervised position, spouts made up bollox with an inverse relationship to actual law deserves to be roasted ....
Sullivan's recent actions contrary to recent Supreme Court decisions were interesting.... This legal skirmish will likely peter out due to the judicial establishment's understandable reluctance to wash their heavily soiled laundry in public

IF it is correct that he relies on his Clerks, then they should also be provided with the opportunity to fade away ASAP.
Sullivan has stalled for time. But time to achieve what? He has sought a second opinion, but is this a case of upward buckpassing?
I get the impression that since Trump’s election, all his opponents have been telling each other that he will be felled, because they have been tipped off that this is definitely going to happen. Unfortunately, they have all been assuming that everyone else actually had the evidence that they knew they did not actually possess themselves.
At the end of the Flynn farce, whenever that is, Democrats are going to let Sullivan take the blame and deny any interference in his judgement. Even his current critics don't accuse him of being a "bad" Judge, just a bit challenged.

Sullivan has a chequered past. He famously let "plead the 5th" Lois Lerner off the hook.
He has *absolutely not* sought a second opinion - he has arbitrarily appointed another demonstrably biased git to go try and prosecute Flynn via a legal tool that the Supreme Court unanimously recently pronounced as not valid for that purpose. Sullivan has abused process and if you haven't read some of the transcripts and Sullivan's actual words in the Flynn matter = you are missing a lot.
Sullivan seems either a fool or a tool = quite possibly both - he's developing into an extended embarrassment to US Federal Justice = expect him to retire early.....

That is part of my reason for suggesting that Sullivan is playing for time, though i don't know what his personal motivation for doing so is. I am thinking that arrests of known players can only start, if/when Flynn walks. Arrests may include the mysterious Pienka, and he may already be somewhere safe.
As so many of them know how they think the US Justice system is supposed to work for them, they may be enthusiastic about offering further information as they plead for jail sentences that don't run into double figures. Politicians, past and present could be facing charges during the Election run up, not just FBI/DOJ.
