Discussion > President Trump

Charly. GC uses the present tense to describe an Obama WhiteHouse. It was that which I was objecting to. As to whether shenanigans occurred earlier, I'm sure they did, just as am equally sure they have within the Trump regime.

FBI, DOJ et al conspiring against Trump from the GOP primaries up to the present = "shenanigans"? Perhaps you find it hard to appreciate the seriousness of what is happening.

Or perhaps you think sedition just a normal part of politics?

If FBI, DoJ etc were plotting against Trump after he took office, how can this be under the auspices of the Obama White House? Talk sense.

Oct 13, 2020 at 3:29 PM | Unregistered CommenterAK

The operation started when Obama was in office, then continued with the same players in post after Trump's inauguration.

July 26, 2016 – ¹Brennan informed by campaign operative that Hillary Clinton, political allies and agents were using and pushing Trump-Russia smear.

July 28, 2016 – ²Brennan briefs President Obama about smear campaign in White House.

July 31, 2016 – FBI Agent Peter Strzok opens Trump investigation (Crossfire Hurricane) based on Trump-Russia collusion smear.

FBI begins using Steele-Dossier created by Fusion-GPS and Clinton Campaign as primary justification for ongoing Trump investigation.

Trump, in office, being investigated by SC Robert Mueller for years. Sedition.

Charly. I know it will be extremely difficult for you but just for a moment consider Trump was guilty. Should Mueller have stopped investigating? Would that have been sedition? How do you know guilt or innocence without investigating? What do you think about Trump's efforts to thwart investigations?

AK

Have you heard of Svetlana Lokhova?

Have you heard her story?

elsewhere

at the ACB SCOTUS hearings I think it must be... haven't had the time to confirm.

Senator Whitehouse opened up a can of worms.

Senator Ted Cruz then spilled that can all over Whitehouse's head.

and

Hirono: Wait, are you telling me policy considerations are something *we* should address?

Barrett: Yes, you write the laws.

AK, had you looked at the documents ( it is clear that you haven't ) then you would know that they knew there was no substance to the "Russia collusion" allegation from the start.

Had they genuinely believed there was something in it, then their duty would have been to investigate.

Can you be guilty of obstruction if there is no original crime? Yes, if the investigators do not know that there is no crime. But if they know this from the start? You can stop them from discovering something they know is not there? Wow!

I repeat - they knew it was crap. The dossier was bought and paid for - by RINOs against Trump, quickly taken over by La Clinton.

It is clear that it is difficult for you to read up on this. You won't find it in the Guardian, or on the BBC. Doesn't fit the narrative. You know the MSM are crap on climate, but you cannot accept that they could be 180° wrong on other issues?

I was at UEA in the 1970s. None of this surprises me.

P.S. Are any of your former students now noted climate sceptics? Did anything you did to point them towards questioning the narrative make a difference?

I imagine not. I would be happy to see evidence to the contrary.

During the interview Grassley states the non-compliance with oversight may be due to former and current officials participating in a conspiracy to target the office of the president:

"jake-tapper-has-said

The MSM is really bad at playing whack-a-mole.

By the time they’ve got their cameras and pundits briefed on their preferred outrage of the day ::poof:: someone drops an anvil on their head, Trump disappears and word comes out he’s reappeared with a new batch of instructions and policy deliverables for them to be outraged about.

Look, over there… no, wait,… over there… here, huh.. wha? Has it really only been a week since it was “muh Russians”?…. sheesh.

Trump-time moves so fast, they don’t have time to roll out the traditional coordinated talking points. President Trump is one person, yet he has them surrounded."

Being surrounded is a target-rich environment.

"If FBI, DoJ etc were plotting against Trump after he took office, how can this be under the auspices of the Obama White House? Talk sense."

The plotting began before Trump was nominated.

Mueller knew there was no collusion but carried on regardless.

Still non-sequitur day, then.

Elsewhere:

Bash's team was focused not just on unmasking, but also on whether Obama-era officials provided information to reporters, according to people familiar with the probe, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive investigation. But the findings ultimately turned over to Barr fell short of what Trump and others might have hoped, and the attorney general's office elected not to release them publicly, the people familiar with the matter said. The Washington Post was unable to review the full results of what Bash found.

Another investigation into the Obamagate nontroversy comes up empty and has to be buried. There is no there, there.

You have to hand it to Trump, he gives a barn-storming rally. Only days after being laid low with Covid19 and a decidedly wonky appearance on the WhiteHouse balcony he gives a stonking performance in Florida. Makes you wonder what's in his orange juice.
Biden cannot match him. Why didn't Trump just overwhelm Biden with rhetoric in the first debate rather than employ the rather boorish tactics he did use?

Oct 14, 2020 at 2:38 PM | Unregistered CommenterAK

Rallies are a Trumpian Safe Space where they don't just tolerate his lies, they positively encourage them. Outside that bubble his mendacity is a given.

Because here’s the deal, here’s the deal. The fact is that everything he’s saying so far is simply a lie. I’m not here to call out his lies. Everybody knows he’s a liar.

Biden, presidential debate.

Using the power of The White House, DOJ and FBI to conspire against a political rival is an offence worthy of the arrogant and extremists. All fingers are pointing at the Obama White House, even though the MSM are turning still turning a blind eye.

golf charlie, the activity was ( and still is ) sedition. The CIA and foreign intelligence services were also involved.

Seems to me that this is more than "shenanigans".

I'm also starting to think that the Biden family might be a bit dodgy -

"As we shared yesterday, the examples of Google, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube blocking factual information about Joe Biden’s corrupt financial engagements with foreign entities is an “all-in” election interference effort. In many ways this is an extinction level event for their business model if Joe Biden does not win the election.

These tech and social media companies are worth hundreds of billions and their future financial viability is now directly connected to the 2020 election. Shareholders and stakeholders will begin filing lawsuits as soon as the hammer of FCC, DOJ or legislative regulation drops to break up their previously permitted monopolies.

A Trump victory will destroy these entities; and the likelihood of a Trump victory increases in direct proportion to their efforts to advance censorship…. it is a very unique situation."

Tucker Carlson 15/10/2020 :

"At the heart of the growing Biden-Ukraine scandal, for example, is a very straightforward question: did Joe Biden subvert American foreign policy in order to enrich his own family?

In 2015, Joe Biden was the sitting Vice President of the United States. Included in his portfolio were U.S. relations with the nation of Ukraine. So at that moment, Vice President Joe Biden had more influence over the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian economy than any other person on the globe outside of Eastern Europe.

Biden’s younger son, Hunter knew that. He hoped to get rich from his father’s influence."
