Presidential Debate Commission Ditches Foreign Policy Focus Following Hunter Biden Laptop Leaks
Shocked I'm not.
Hmmm. The moderator chooses the topics and they were announced for the first time on the 16th. They include 'National Security' which is surely more germane to the allegations against the Bidens than the more general 'Foreign Policy'. What evidence is there that topics have changed? I assume you have something other than the National Pulse's shameless echoing of the Trump Campaign talking points lies.

You want US Foreign Policy to be based on cash for drugs.
Surprised, I'm not.

64 hits on Google earlier for the entire quoted text - but yes, it'd be an obvious point to hit on Biden wouldn't it? As usual if the roles were reversed and DJT progeny were the ones with crack and wandering willie problems, poncing cash off foreign nabobs for access to daddy - I can think of somebody not a million miles away who'd be braying endlessly about it.
So the claim that the topics were changed is the usual bollocks. The moderator selects the agenda, the debate was scheduled to be moderated by Steve Scully of C-SPAN until he was sacked and replaced on Monday by Kristen Welker, the same day the topics were announced. I doubt even the National Pulse have mastered time travel and mindreading.
Not sure Trump would be best advised to use 'wandering willy' as an attack theme ;-)

Still trying to turn The White House into a drug den or drug rehab?
A while back Hunter had a paternity suit that seemed to be largely settled on the basis that no discovery would be sought on his sources of income.
As for Hunter not running - he went in to bat for dad's ream at the recent convention.
Hunter's travel details on USAF assets were supposed to be released in January but the Air Force apparently reneged on disclosure promises. Gets about a bit though....
Hunter Biden is not running for president, but there is a big national security aspect.
"...it is important to emphasize the national security vulnerabilities of Biden’s family and circle, centered upon Hunter and also Joe’s brother Jim….. lots of potential for blackmail and extortion, influence operations, etc. Not only from Communist China but from any other bad actor with knowledge of Biden doings…."
Nothing to see here, move along.
Charley - You will remember I asked for clear evidence of Biden wrongdoing, with the not unreasonable caveat that the evidence should not include hearsay, insinuation, 'interpretations' or falsehoods.
Epic fail so far. Hunter's associate set up a WH meeting with a China delegation some nine years ago. The evidence presented shows Hunter was travelling overseas at the time and that he was unreachable to confirm. Big Yawn.
There's an ambiguous message that may or - more likely may not - indicate that five years ago Hunter facilitated a meeting with a Burisma advisor and Joe Biden. There's no evidence to indicate the meeting actually went ahead, and certainly no official record. Pretty hard to make a case that this is of any consequence whatsoever. You will have heard of confirmation bias.
Did I miss anything? Ah, the drug addiction and chequered sexual history. At least when Donald commits adultery it is not with some low rent stripper, but an upmarket pornstar eh? I have friends with alcohol and drug issues and I am really not sure that addiction problems are the best fit for scoring debating points (when they go low etc).
I would not vote for Hunter Biden as president, but despite what you made have heard on Fox, that is not the proposition on offer.

Wrong again. Income was assessed but not made public. Seems reasonable. Right to privacy and all that.

"Despite Joe Biden’s rhetoric on climate change, his son Hunter Biden has been travelling the world making business deals with Ukrainian Gas Giant Burisma, BHR (which apparently invested in African mines), and a string of Chinese companies which did who knows what."
I hereby rename this vessel the Hunter Biden discussion (and rant-fest) since ye'awl cannot bring yourselves to repeat the ghastly news coming from the US polls.
re: Hunter's Income
I was wrong
Hunter was resisting that for months - until the DNA results were in - and the judge copped a bit of attitude
Hunter Biden pleading poverty was a minor novelty but then he has got other children to support.

Tthe candidates' microphones will be muted during parts of their final debate on Thursday. But, unsurprisingly, that is not the only source of friction between the campaigns.
President Trump's side has accused the organisers of helping his Democratic challenger by leaving out foreign policy as a topic. The Biden camp shot back that Trump was trying to avoid questions about his response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The topics were announced by moderator and NBC News correspondent Kristen Welker last week: American families, race in America, climate change, national security and leadership.
The 90-minute debate structure will be divided into 15-minute segments. At the start of each new topic, both candidates will have two minutes of uninterrupted time - during which the opponent's microphone will be off.
- so the rumours of incidental "GOAL!" graphics overlay with heavy rock music were untrue then?
I see CNN run up their true colours - probably more impact than the debate....
AK, from what point of view is the news "ghastly"?

According to the CBC's Presidential Poll Tracker, an aggregation of all U.S. polls, Biden is leading Trump by a margin of 10.8 points among decided voters. At this stage of the 2016 campaign, Clinton was leading by only 4.8 points. In some states, Biden is doing far better than Clinton was this far out from election day. He's leading by wider margins in Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. He's ahead of Trump in Arizona and Georgia — states where Clinton was trailing by about three points at this stage of the campaign.
In Texas, Trump is ahead by only 0.9 points. In 2016, Clinton was behind in Texas by nearly 12 points.

Prety ghastly and Team Trump are slowly going backwards, FiveThirtyEight's model now has Biden winning 88 times out of 100, up from 86 last week. In the betting markets, which for some reason generally seem to give Trump a higher chance than the polls suggest, the gap narrowed over the last few days but is now growing again.

I am sure drug dealers/crooks/liars/climate scientists/Democrats/Russian and Chinese Bribe Brokers etc can't wait to get back in to The White House, with FBI Security Clearance. Very difficult to tell any of them apart.
Some of the corrupt lies are so bad, Climate Scientists must have a vested interest.....
